A better idea would be if the panels themselves were solar panels.

This is acctually one of the most amazing things i saw on youtube. You sir created an awesome thing here. It really blows my mind how you imagined this and did the progamming. The movement looks so fluent. Thanks for putting that much work into this. You should work for some kind of company. The world needs to have this kind of hexapod.

I've been consuming all things Bot for some time now. If you count the years leading up to now, insane. However, I've only recently decided to take my career interests in this direction so of course my interests have moved past the oooh, ahhhhh, that's cool phase to somewhere considerably deeper. Hands down, you have managed to build my favorite bot of them all. The entire design is absolutely incredible and I can't wait to see it's evolution as we move forward. Additionally in my own designs you've given me quite a bit to think about in regards to leaving the conventional behind. Huge wow, humbled, incredible.

Im no robot know-it-all but that method of locomotion is quite unique !!! I mean i've seen tracks, legs, aircushion but that very clever way to achieving movement is just amazing to see ! Plus it has a standard Hex leg setup for a more stable though slower means to get around !

So. Management with mobile, web-cams, mp3, recorder, solar panels, wireless charging, the ability to roll without shuffling the feet, transfoming to quadrocopter, projector, smaller sized it would be the best, and gps of course. But, but it's already so awesome.
Too bad I'm not an engineer.

I have to ask, how plausible would it be for you to, on a later version of it, have MorpHex be able to walk on *both* sets of it's arms, as in both hemispheres? I saw how on the MKII you gave the non-walking set much more mobility to help with the rolling primarily, but what about giving them an identical chassis as the walking hemisphere with the expanding base and all? It'd probably shorten the time it takes to go from ball to walker by a lot since it wouldn't matter which side it stopped on and it wouldn't matter if the walker got "flipped over" or toppled by something. Just my two cents, the creation is absolutely jaw dropping as it is but as human nature has shown, there's always a way to improve... ;)

Like you could give it a voice like the portal robot (someone dubbed over one of these demo vids with it and I thought it was neat) that would be so perfect! I would definitely want one in the future if you ever decide to go public and sell these.

Love the project! I am an NYU student working on robotics and had a few questions I was hoping you could answer.
-What type of board did you use (I'm use to using Arduinos, buy I'm guessing it might not be able to handle that much data input)?
-Did you use C or Python to write?
-For the physical hardware, how did you power your servos (I've had a hard time working with more than 12)?
-Also, how did you make the white outer shell?
Thank you in advanced for any advice and help you have!
