For those wondering if Mittiii can play VCR GTA off-stream; what I heard from Mother3rd is that Mittiii is banned by Twitch to the point of not allowed to appear and talk in other channel's stream, or else their channel will also get banned. (Edit: this is Twitch rule for banned channels in general, thanks to the replies for pointing it out) In that case it's understandable if Matsuri also stopped playing until Mittiii is back (that, if he ever wants to go back to the server). There's the thing with trolls and haters too. Looks like she handled this well enough so all is good. Update: Matsuri is streaming VCR GTA today. Some replies also said that the reason for Mittiii's ban is another stream and not the GTA one, so I guess it has been confirmed and everything is back to normal. Cheers.
If you received a suspension or a ban, you cannot appear on another Twitch stream in any form or capacity as it is counted as ban evasion, you basically have to wait it out.
Matsuri has always been the line holder for other Holomem to not cross, she's the one showing other just how far you can go, and the consequences if you still go, she is an important aspect of Hololive...
I'm glad that Hololive isn't that restrictive on how their talents act but it's nice that Matsuri is being aware to be considerate for others. I didn't really think Twitch was that strict considering what other things they allowed on their platform.
Have you seen the whole controversy revolving their "Artistic nudity" policy update ? Twitch is such a chaotic and untrustworthy place to trust its policy being enforced in a correct way Hololive doesn't care much about members doing NSFW stuff. Like go re-watch that HoloSummer MV lol. But if it involves copyright and strikes issues, then they will have a problem because they don't wanna go through all of that shit again
Twitch has a reputation for being more lax compared to TH-cam, but that's really only because their rules enforcement has historically been very spotty. Their actual rules are significantly more restrictive.

Hololive streaming is considered a part time job. Members can stream whenever they want. At this point I'm not even sure if there's a quota in hololive cause ojou stream like 2x a month but she does have hardcore fans and ojou makes like 1k-5k per stream of anything.

@@lfk1978 because of matsuri incident matsuri didn't play for some times. she was a gang leader called NNF that includes Rpr, the other members tried to contact matsuri but matsuri didn't respond and total radio silent. so not knowing if she's gonna come back or not, the rest of the members wanted to leave the gang because they don't want to be in the gang without matsuri. after that the gang disbanded. rpr tried to join other gangs but they rejected or didn't give a response to him, he even tried to join the police but since the police are already overpowered rpr was rejected again. for some times rpr played alone and consider quitting if nobody accepts him into gang/police, but fortunately she met hoshikawa and she accepted him into her gang. also fun fact: at the end of VCR GTA the former members of NNF kidnapped matsuri and brought her to a church for a prank i think. there matsuri actually cried and apologizing to them. she was afraid that they might've hated her for ruining the gang, but they just laughed about it and assured matsuri that it's okay. matsuri already ended the stream at that point (but still playing) so there's no POV from her.
I definitely believe her about the vomiting. From flying along at 120mph, having the time of you life, to people getting banned as a result of a decision you were part of, and could have changed the outcome of, has to be a real gut punch.

In my personal preference, yeah it may have been a tad too much but that's always been Matsuri and she was having fun on GTA, a mature game with shooting, robbing banks and making drugs etc. I knew she was gonna get flamed though, so many JP comments whether they were idol fans who want her to have super clean image, other fans from like vspo/other livers or just antis in general, saying stuff like "i hope you graduate" or "you crossed the line and i have reported you to management" that shit was so annoying to see. I understand where you're coming from and I'm not trying to say she or anyone is at fault, but there are other things to consider in regard to the situation. TH-cam for example can be, let's say inconsistent with rules, some subject matter only being allowed within parameters not clearly explained that creates risky personal judgment moments. Unique rules/regards with Japanese society and culture (There's a reason they don't specifically deal "drugs" on the servers). Not to mention for better or worse companies and streamers across the project have to consider their brand images and have every right to work to maintain them. From my perspective though, it seems like the situation was handled professionally as possible by involved parties (no extreme company reactions, symbolic but not severe punishments handed out, etc.). Agree with you completely on the flamed comments though. As someone who has watched GTA RPs in the past, I honestly do not know what always brings out the worst in chat rooms on these. Sorry for the ramble, tried to summarize my points as best as possible.
Knowing how fans can be sometimes, I understand the possible anxiety. I guess Matsuri went a bit further than she could in this moment, tested the boundaries so to speak. I was completely out of the loop because I didn't watch the GTA VCR streams, therefore I was wondering what she did that was so bad, so I looked for Matsuri's GTA clips and just realized she did AV movies in-game. I literally bursted out laughing. This is so Matsuri. It's actually quite annoying that Twitch and YT are so strict about stuff like this. Old yabai Hololive was so much fun.

Nah, there's a lot of benefits to Twitch, there's a reason people still use it despite its flaws. I think to wish that Twitch disappears is misguided. 1) Its reputation as a platform, it's pretty much the first big gaming livestreaming platform, so viewers on there are the most engaged. 2) Amazon Prime gives 1 free sub a month (equivalent to membership on YT). Streamers can earn so much more money, because many people already have Amazon Prime, so a higher proportion of your viewers will sign up for membership/sub. 3) YT algorithm suppresses livestreams, there's a reason we only really discover streamers on TH-cam through clips. Some people want to be recommended streams themselves, so Twitch is perfect for that. 4) Emote culture, TH-cam only really allows you to use emotes of a streamer in one chat. But Twitch allows you to use all accessible emotes in all chats, and also all the well known BTTV emotes. So emotes spread like memes, and it makes Twitch chat more colorful. It also helps portray how chat is feeling and reacting to the streamer in a more straightforward and fun way than text. Being in Twitch chat is significantly so much more fun than being in TH-cam chat. 5) Twitch just has the better streamer community, hosting events like Twitch Con. Some streamers really just stream on Twitch to be part of that community and meet other streamers. TH-cam doesn't really do much to make its streamers feel like part of the community. Being both a Twitch and TH-cam viewer, there's benefits to both. I think it's absolutely wrong to wish for the death of a platform that so many people still use and love despite its flaws.

In the gta private server she was part of, she wanted to make a lot of quick money, so she and a couple of other streamers made a “porn” video. I use quotation marks because it was jank as hell, and they were clothed, and it was hilarious, but it was still technically sexual roleplay, so they got in trouble anyway. That’s the gist of it.
Basically they did a "porn" video with their VCR GTA character. Just search for VCR GTA and find a clip called "Matsuri joins the adult industry". It is easier to understand by watching the clip.
I'm not sure what happened, but it just reaffirms why I hate Twitch. I'll have to look into what they did, but I have a feeling it will just piss me off.

Mittiii got banned some hours after what they did there (for 1 week) and he can't play with the other streamers until the week is over bc twitch would ban them too.
When Matsuri heard about Mittiii's ban during her next stream, she was really sad about it and decided to end + private that stream. Then we got to this stream/clip.

In that case it's understandable if Matsuri also stopped playing until Mittiii is back (that, if he ever wants to go back to the server). There's the thing with trolls and haters too. Looks like she handled this well enough so all is good.
Update: Matsuri is streaming VCR GTA today. Some replies also said that the reason for Mittiii's ban is another stream and not the GTA one, so I guess it has been confirmed and everything is back to normal. Cheers.

If you received a suspension or a ban, you cannot appear on another Twitch stream in any form or capacity as it is counted as ban evasion, you basically have to wait it out.
Twitch considers it as ban evasion if the banned person shows up on other's streams.

Twitch has a reputation for being more lax compared to TH-cam, but that's really only because their rules enforcement has historically been very spotty. Their actual rules are significantly more restrictive.

@@lfk1978 because of matsuri incident matsuri didn't play for some times. she was a gang leader called NNF that includes Rpr, the other members tried to contact matsuri but matsuri didn't respond and total radio silent. so not knowing if she's gonna come back or not, the rest of the members wanted to leave the gang because they don't want to be in the gang without matsuri. after that the gang disbanded. rpr tried to join other gangs but they rejected or didn't give a response to him, he even tried to join the police but since the police are already overpowered rpr was rejected again. for some times rpr played alone and consider quitting if nobody accepts him into gang/police, but fortunately she met hoshikawa and she accepted him into her gang.
also fun fact: at the end of VCR GTA the former members of NNF kidnapped matsuri and brought her to a church for a prank i think. there matsuri actually cried and apologizing to them. she was afraid that they might've hated her for ruining the gang, but they just laughed about it and assured matsuri that it's okay. matsuri already ended the stream at that point (but still playing) so there's no POV from her.
I'm happy that one of NNF gang member, Renjiro san, come by in the stream and requested Virtualove for Matsuri to sing.
I definitely believe her about the vomiting. From flying along at 120mph, having the time of you life, to people getting banned as a result of a decision you were part of, and could have changed the outcome of, has to be a real gut punch.

In my personal preference, yeah it may have been a tad too much but that's always been Matsuri and she was having fun on GTA, a mature game with shooting, robbing banks and making drugs etc. I knew she was gonna get flamed though, so many JP comments whether they were idol fans who want her to have super clean image, other fans from like vspo/other livers or just antis in general, saying stuff like "i hope you graduate" or "you crossed the line and i have reported you to management" that shit was so annoying to see. I understand where you're coming from and I'm not trying to say she or anyone is at fault, but there are other things to consider in regard to the situation. TH-cam for example can be, let's say inconsistent with rules, some subject matter only being allowed within parameters not clearly explained that creates risky personal judgment moments. Unique rules/regards with Japanese society and culture (There's a reason they don't specifically deal "drugs" on the servers). Not to mention for better or worse companies and streamers across the project have to consider their brand images and have every right to work to maintain them.
From my perspective though, it seems like the situation was handled professionally as possible by involved parties (no extreme company reactions, symbolic but not severe punishments handed out, etc.). Agree with you completely on the flamed comments though. As someone who has watched GTA RPs in the past, I honestly do not know what always brings out the worst in chat rooms on these.

Its good that matsuri is realizing her mistake and hololive is not that restrictive anymore to the point of suspension or anything but just "just be careful next time"

I was completely out of the loop because I didn't watch the GTA VCR streams, therefore I was wondering what she did that was so bad, so I looked for Matsuri's GTA clips and just realized she did AV movies in-game. I literally bursted out laughing. This is so Matsuri.
It's actually quite annoying that Twitch and YT are so strict about stuff like this. Old yabai Hololive was so much fun.

Once again, Twitch is the reason we can't have nice things. ;) TH-cam is FAR from perfect, but it is without a doubt superior to Twitch in every conceivable way for streaming. The sooner streamers as a whole realize that and switch to something else, the better off everyone will be.
Nah, there's a lot of benefits to Twitch, there's a reason people still use it despite its flaws. I think to wish that Twitch disappears is misguided.
1) Its reputation as a platform, it's pretty much the first big gaming livestreaming platform, so viewers on there are the most engaged.
2) Amazon Prime gives 1 free sub a month (equivalent to membership on YT). Streamers can earn so much more money, because many people already have Amazon Prime, so a higher proportion of your viewers will sign up for membership/sub.
3) YT algorithm suppresses livestreams, there's a reason we only really discover streamers on TH-cam through clips. Some people want to be recommended streams themselves, so Twitch is perfect for that.
4) Emote culture, TH-cam only really allows you to use emotes of a streamer in one chat. But Twitch allows you to use all accessible emotes in all chats, and also all the well known BTTV emotes. So emotes spread like memes, and it makes Twitch chat more colorful. It also helps portray how chat is feeling and reacting to the streamer in a more straightforward and fun way than text.
Being in Twitch chat is significantly so much more fun than being in TH-cam chat.
5) Twitch just has the better streamer community, hosting events like Twitch Con. Some streamers really just stream on Twitch to be part of that community and meet other streamers. TH-cam doesn't really do much to make its streamers feel like part of the community.
Being both a Twitch and TH-cam viewer, there's benefits to both.
I think it's absolutely wrong to wish for the death of a platform that so many people still use and love despite its flaws.
Im glad that this has been handled well and all and nobodies been hurt bad from it, but honestly, i think if it wasnt for Twitchs clusterfuck of a rule set then this situation wouldnt have happened in the first place, like streamers are allowed to stream with their booba out and thats fine as long as they put it under the vague premise of "art", but playing out a vulgur bit as a joke is bannable, theres no consistency with twitch. Quite frankly, Miittiii shouldnt be banned, and everyone shouldnt be copping this much flak for a bit, Twitch just saw that it wasnt one of their big earners and blasted Miittiii with the ban hammer over a joke in a stream of a game that should be only being watched by mature audiences in the first place
true, we'll just laugh it off if the ban didn't happen, but it is what it is. Mittiii enjoyed his holiday, Matsuri can still stream as usual (though not VCR GTA in respect of Mittiii not being able to play it rn), and ex-NNF members already found a new gang/activity. Not the worst outcome, we move on.

In the gta private server she was part of, she wanted to make a lot of quick money, so she and a couple of other streamers made a “porn” video. I use quotation marks because it was jank as hell, and they were clothed, and it was hilarious, but it was still technically sexual roleplay, so they got in trouble anyway.
That’s the gist of it.
Basically they did a "porn" video with their VCR GTA character. Just search for VCR GTA and find a clip called "Matsuri joins the adult industry". It is easier to understand by watching the clip.
I'm not sure what happened, but it just reaffirms why I hate Twitch.
I'll have to look into what they did, but I have a feeling it will just piss me off.

One: Paradoxical fans getting angry. Two: Fans of Mittii, the other participant of the video got banned on Twitch, so he's unable to make any money for a week or appear on other streams. So all the attention is put on Matsuri being the only one who can talk about the situation.

market penetration would be extremely difficult even if they did. that was one of the key things that held back JP in nearly all things marketable over the years, and I mean ever since. At this point, it makes sense to use what's available, build off it, get their own piece of the pie. However, that also means they are gonna have to play by the rules being set. Either way, there is way too much investments into yt and twitch, any other competitor doesn't stand much of a chance. Like you said, niconico douga is barely used.
i-i think im comfortable say this now, i watched this live, i know twitch is wishy washy about this kind of act so while it was hilarious (laplus entrance, roberu & arusan review) its clearly off the limit for streaming platform and might cause trouble for server provider(VCR) and can impact her usual interaction with streamer circle. im glad it being resolved by the people that matter (management, doi-san of vcr, streamers related to this incident)

Its because Noah while drunk always saying stuff borderline dangerous that can makes any gachikois of Noah (if she had) mad at them. Literally everyone knows Mittiii is that kind of personality, it just happened 2 of the worst (pervert) stars collide there.
I knew this was going to be a bit controversial, but Matsuri have always been doing her own thing when it comes to "the line", so I don't think anyone who knows Hololive sees it as a reflection on the company as a whole. Poor Laplus made the situation funnier though.
