That queue is a ride in itself, so well themed! Also, y’all got a lotta complaints for people who aren’t funding the ride. Yeah the animatronics are limited motion but the sets are detailed and the animatronics look good! Disney level animatronics are insanely expensive, and when you have a limited budget you have to be creative. I think this ride is really successful, it has amazing themeing, good storytelling, and you can tell that the team behind it worked their hardest to make a good ride and it shows.
I thought it was cute and charming! The sheer number of scenes from the movie was impressive. I don't think even Disney can boast a "movie summary" ride that had this many scenes. Some of the rooms were huge, all decorated with lots of detail. But why was it so empty? Not a soul in line or the gift shop?

Not only do the animatronics look great, but the flat 2D cardboard cutout scenery also make sense in a lot of places too. Creativity definitively can help trump any monetary shortcomings for sure. Bongo in a Top Hat Well, it certainly doesn't take much to make you happy. I mean, if this is the best thing in Motiongate, I think I'll give the rest of the park a pass. This really sucked. Humiliating and embarrassing.

Yes, the animation is not smooth but hey, It's a puppet show so it does not have to be. That being said, the way the story plays through with the ride vehicle's help as it turns, there are some wonderful and creative FX. Nicely done.

Still, there's a solid difference between this and something like Snow White's scary adventures. Speed. I can't help but think that if they varied the speed (if they could vary the speed) of the ride vehicles, giving more of a jerky motion conveying that rush, that'd be better. Some scenes just seem to get drawn out way too much, though again, credit to them for making due with the less sophisticated animatronic figures. Though I can't help but think that this sort of tech would be better fitted for say... a five nights at freddy's walkthrough attraction.

Frankly, it was a fictional experience in Motiongate Dubai. I spent a very enjoyable time with my family and the games that were there were world-class, and there are few people who say that the place is not beautiful because of their jealousy😂.
These people obviously saw Mystic Manor at Shanghai Disneyland. They completely ignored the lessons about show, drama, timing and integration it teaches. The Dubai park obviously had more than double Mystic Manor's budget, and they utterly wasted it on a near complete lack of show. Universal should have asked the designers for an attraction synopsis before licensing the Shrek property. All I can say in closing is: I wish I had the millions of dollars the people wasted on this lame attempt at show. The pity is that this is probably the best attraction at the entire Dubai debacle. How sad.
Kenneth Desmond Mosley honestly I’ve went there multiple times and it’s very crowded that even in the fast pass you should wait at least 15 minutes so I guess that people who film these kind of stuff come in early before all the chaos happen
It gets 3.5 out of 5. While I can appreciate the style of the ride I can't help but feel they cut too many corners. It's just not Disneyland/Disney World quality.

That's smart, their other rides have a tendency to look janky, so the puppet show idea gave them more leeway to be creative
