This is by far the best auto repair video I've ever watched! And unfortunately it demonstrates to me, without a doubt, that I in no way have the ability or tools to undertake this project. Thank you very much for making this and I hope you have much success with your future videos!
4th gen Ram has “3” transmission mount nuts to remove. (this video shows 2 only for this gen 3 ram) I followed along this video to replace my oil pan on my 2011 ram 5.7 hemi 4x4. I made the mistake of only removing 2 of the 3 transmission mounts on my 2011 ram. This caused my engine to not lift up straight so when I was finished and lowered the engine… my engine was not aligned on the front motor mounts. I was able to align the engine with a pry bar, but reflecting back on doing this …it was not safe and could have caused an accident. My engine mount alignment problem would not have happened if i had removed the 3nuts. But i did complete it… my truck has a new oil pan and is running perfectly now. I really appreciate these videos . Thank you
Now do you absolutely have to jack the engine up. I saw another video the guy didn’t even touch the mounts. I will be doing mine from under the truck on ramps.
I did it to my 4th gen … only difference is that the transmission mount has 3 nuts to take off on a 4th gen… the video only shows 2 being taken off because it is a different design. double check your 5th gen for differences in design too

Seeing all that rust makes me glade I live down south.
This is great. Can you also do a video on replacing the oil pump? Your videos have been a fantastic tool for me over the years 😊
Well done sir. Perfect, simple job over view. With torque specs and order. Good stuff!

Thanks for the video. Was going smooth until the point that I had to remove the pan. Didn't realize it had to come out without the gasket.
Thank you for doing a 4x4 truck. Most of the videos show a 2wd model.
Where can I find a video for a 4x4? Since the differential is in the way
Love your video man
Thank you God bless you
I hate technicians, crazy amount of work for something so little.
Thanks
I have 2012 1500. Is it the same process?
Where can I buy one of those cross members mine rotted
Torque specs for cross member bolts??
I get this is an older ram, but im assuming this is nearly the same process for a 5th gen ram with a 5.7 hemi
@inspectz13 did you ever replace the oil pan using this videos steps? got a 2011 5.7 and about to start but have sone doubts

Vary professional tks.for tork lbs on all bolts.
What is the name of that bracket?
Is this a 6 cylinder?
All this work for a dang oil pan. 🤬 yeah my pan just blew down the interstates has a small hole towards the drain plug at the top.
All this just to replace a damn gasket. Smh. It makes a cheap job expensive af. For no reason!!
This video missed the rtv between the oil pan and the gasket, you need it between the gasket and the block and between the gasket and oil pan
