It's time to look at the lovely little blue Nordmende Transita. Here I put it on test to see if it works

Apologies for the drop out and sudden end. Seems my software is not playing ball. I will add the last bit onto the next video. Thanks for watching / radiocruncher . Have a look at my new website radiocruncher.com www.paypal.com...
Apologies for the typo in the video. It's a Nordmende not a Normende!
Years ago my father owned one of these sets. It was grey with some cream. The band
switch was mounted at the top of the set unlike the front on this example. It ran from
two 4.5 volt Ever Ready cycle lamp type batteries. A solid set, I think the volume control
crackled even when it was relatively new. The Germans certainly make some high quality
radios!
I did a search on these radios and there was a website dedicated to them. I will certainly be on the lookout for another one as it is very well put together. I believe from photos I've seen that it had a couple battery holders and takes 2x 4.5v batteries as your fathers did. Such a shame that the aerial is broken. I could do with having a look at a non broken one to see how it's fixed. Thanks for watching
Usually but not always...you can use continuity on the meter..and one probe on any part of the metal chassis and it will be ground when your hear the beep..from the meter..
