Love Love Love Jon. Been doing this for awhile and started at 5....up to 10 minutes now and yes - any "story" you have created that adds undue stress to life disappears like clouds in the sky. As you say - brain exercise is #1 before nutrition and fitness. Amen!
This is amazing stuff. Been trying to get into meditation and wanting to hear other people’s stories. Not many people talk about their stories which geared me away from it for a while. Keep these videos coming! I started my journey today. I realized I need it cuz I live soo much in my head it’s making me sick.
The first step is always self awareness and acknowledging that you are living too much in your head. So that's good to see. I' m glad I and this video can help be a catalyst for you undertaking this practise which I believe will truly help you see incredible results like I did. More to come!
You make a really compelling argument for meditation here! And I'll admit, one of your most convincing points is that you don't have to sit in a room with your legs crossed and arms out singing "ummm...", haha. (I think that, for many of us guys, that's the most off-putting aspect of meditation -- that stereotypical image.) But your personal anecdotes, your humility and authenticity, the common benefits, etc. are what sold me. I'll definitely be giving your techniques a try!
I couldn't agree more, that was a huge barrier. Especially after realizing it wasn't reserved for religious people only (I have no affiliation with any particular religion). I am glad that I ended up finding the truth about it and giving it a real shot. I am glad you will be doing the same! Cheers
Yes. But if you're starting out, as I mention later on in the video, start with 2 minutes and work your way up. Eventually, you won't care about what you "need" and if you have extra time, you may be like "oh you know what? I'm gonna go for 20 minutes today!" because it will feel so good and be so transformative. But until then, work your way up to 10 minutes per day consistently.
Nice testimony. Those who are starting the Journey this is a nice Intro to Meditation video th-cam.com/video/iWQiWIEb_v0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=SZA3yQn4CcmeFdYJ

So I only need 10 minutes a day?
