They’re not pretending to be characters they’re not on the SMP, they’re only exaggerating and making things more dramatic in a very extended bit, in a way, so it would make sense that they’d act like themselves, since there isn’t actually a specific character they’re trying to play other than a more entertaining version of themselves.
