I don't know if it's the base, the stab, or the keycaps, but I love the sound of the stabilizer here, better than the ciy 64 videos. I can still hear ticking in the ciy 64 videos.
To see that the tester84 coming in at a mere $40 for a kit that includes plate foam and a pre-cut silicone dampener as well as the case being half alu dang. Video is great as ever!
Loving the budget options on your channel. I just finished my AC064 build and I am even thinking of getting the same keycaps you had! Keep it up. Greetings from the Philippines.
@@itssamueltan first, thanks for answering! second, great then, should be fine since the set of keycaps I've ordered isn't GMK based, I think it should be fine!
From what I could find is that this keyboard is also "semi" programable, trough firmware. though CIY does not advertise this, there are a few firmware versions out there for the TES84.
this barebone kit need much mod? I see its already having the silicon damper and pe form for the PCB, seems quite enough, looking to build with boba u4t and xda keycaps would be a good fit?
@@itssamueltan Metal plate sucks. The ping sound it creates is just horrible. Even PE foam on top of the PCB didn't fix it completely. I would choose plastic over metal every day.

Thx for showing the manual, helps a lot since I've lost mine
Glad it helped!
How to find software to change LGB light?
Honestly it's kinda hard to find the software, but it should be available to find after some Reddit/ googling. I don't even remember
May need some mod.. that sound looks sharp. Maybe add some e foam
Sounds great to me tbh, plus it's packed full with foam too
Just got mine in the mail. I ordered some akko cs silvers to go on it with a gmk artic clone set
Nice! Should be looking good, goodluckk with your build
No keycap interference with the North facing LED ? 🤔 Since I know GMK/Cherry profile keycaps doesn't work very nicely together
There is but minor hehe I don't mind it tbh not really noticeable

Fn + Win it should just be the win lock
What is the polling rate of this keyboard ? Looking to buy it but wasn't able to find any information about the polling rate
Should be the normal 1000hz
awesome, btw do you know the difference between ciy tester 84 vs ciy novice 84?
I think the tester 84 has a metal top frame and the Novice is just plastic
@@itssamueltan Metal plate sucks. The ping sound it creates is just horrible. Even PE foam on top of the PCB didn't fix it completely. I would choose plastic over metal every day.
Did the north facing have trouble with cherry profile keycap?
In this case no
That depends on the shape of your switch housing, but most switches will have interference
does this keyboard have fn + f key shortcuts like muting or raising volume?
Hey no I don't think so, it only has F1 to F12
how many lighting mode does this keyboard has?planning to buy this as a gift for myself :D
Hmmmmm I'm honestly not so sure but 10-20 I think
