      Now i'm by second 0:55 and im trying my best and its hard.. It's hard to memorize and hard to transition. I still have a long way to it, because i saw it on HDPianoClassical which im happy it came out full but terrified if im going to be able to do it all.. Its sooooo long

      After many years of not playing, I am starting again and love these HD Piano tutorials.

    Played some piano as a kid, but haven't in a really long while and was in a sad mood so decided to learn this and let me tell you it took me a couple of hours of practicing the first 4 measures and I have them all down today, now learning the 5th measure with the added keys has been kind of confusing, but I will keep at it and hopefully be able to make it sound good! Thank you HD Piano love your teaching style (:

    The adagio sostenuto has made a powerful impression on many listeners; for instance, Berlioz said of it that it "is one of those poems that human language does not know how to qualify".[19] Beethoven's student Carl Czerny called it "a nocturnal scene, in which a mournful ghostly voice sounds from the distance".[3] The movement was very popular in Beethoven's day, to the point of exasperating the composer himself, who remarked to Czerny, "Surely I've written better things."

    I just think it's utterly insane that we can all learn and play a song written in 1801. Thank you Ludwig van Beethoven. I've noticed the further we go back in time, the harder and more complicated the pieces are (the majority anyway, I realise there are still brilliant composers around today). Are songwriters lazier now or do people just enjoy listening to simpler songs? Is humanity dumbing itself down? Jeez, tangent there.

    • @HDpiano
      @HDpiano  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think today's technology and listening culture informs the type of music people want to hear. Also, with the many production tools available to music-makers, more emphasis can be put on things like timbre, samples, fine-tuned effects, etc. Different culture = different music! Like you said, there's still plenty of complex music out there; it's just not as widely known. --Luke

    What is the difference between holding a note and pressing a note with the pedal? I assume your sustain pedal is down the whole way?

    • @HDpiano
      @HDpiano  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you're only holding a single note, applying the pedal will let the sound "swell" a little bit. And pedal will capture any other notes you play while it's down!

Brainwashed to put entertainment above the real heroes, emt,doctor, firefighters, nurses, law enforcement officers, food distributors, farmers, etc. They don't make that kind of money and are needed. Movies, sports and music are just entertainment, not needed yet they make astronomical amounts of money. Get a clue sheeple.

    I hope I'm not asking to much! I know you have already taught a video on the Moonlight Sinata. But I have a grandson who is Autistic. This song is my grandsons favorite song! He is nine years old! When Jesse has an episode because of his Autism. There are three things that will calm him. Singing his ABC's, hearing this song and holding my hair! This song can put him to sleep in just minutes! He adores it! I bought an organ to learn how to play. But my problem is I can't read music. An I'm disabled homebound so I can't go get lessons. I can't drive myself because of my disability! Riding in a vehicle is very painful! I would so love to learn this for his birthday! To be able to play it for my grandson! I even got the stickers for the keys so I'll know what they are. Could you do another video of this song Moonlight sinata, but with the notes on all the keys. Please, if you don't want to, it's ok! But my grandson is just so precious! He can light up a dark room with his smile! Thank you for reading this and may God bless

    My favorite part is that while beethoven is deaf, his music sounds like its made by an awsome, and creative composer,
    And on the other hand, my music sounds like it was made by someone deaf lol

      @HDpiano  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hahah, omg!

    • @adomoadeus
      @adomoadeus 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because it was made by an awesome and creative composer. Who was also inventive. Not many people have even heard of it today but there is a way to listen to sounds through bone conduction, I’m not gonna go into specifics. Beethoven attached a vibrating metal bar to his piano that he would bite on and he could hear the vibrations and thus the notes. Even when deaf, he could hear what he was playing. Not to detract from his talent though, he was incredible.
