Thanks Andrew, great video and tree! Would you ever consider making a multi branch apex on the tree, spreading the crown a little wider, going even more on the natural style?!!
I don't think that would be the best thing for the more traditional trunk on this one, but we will be building the crown a bit wider and getting it as natural as we can
Hey Andrew, when should we reactivate wounds? I've noticed my cut putty has "cracked" on cuts made in spring, indicating that i've got some nice healing going on. Is this the time to reactivate the wounds, or should i wait till spring again?
Hi Andrew..wander if you can help me..I was watching u do a seminar on golden state bonsai and you said u fed using biogold through liquid feed..what is the ratio per gram of fertilizer u use to make up the feed...really enjoying the content and ur way of teaching us easy in the ears😂👍
@@Tore1972Wisdom hopefully in time we have more material available like that. I looked at their inventory and it's impressive, wish we could import trees
Great video Andrew! Can't wait to see what awards this tree will win in a couple years.
Time to get back to work and make that happen!
Very informative. Did not fully know all your points on wound healing on deciduous trees. Thanks.
Glad it was helpful
I love bonsai.
Us too!

@@rakuyobonsai Thanks, it's a great looking tree!!!
Great video, and nice little guest star popping in there.
He loves being where the action is!
lovin the channel andrew.. what time of year do you treat big wounds? how many times a year do you reactivate the wound?
thanks
Mid to late summer, and just once a year
Very nice tree and information! Can't wait to get my own trident.
Glad you enjoyed!
Great video, thank you, how often and when should you reactivate the wound?
As many times as needed about once a year until it closes
@@rakuyobonsai Thank you :-)
great tree, excellent work
Thanks!
looks great. I've noticed the callus on my kotohime chops doesn't stop moving through the growing season.
Nice
Belo exemplar ❤
Obrigado!

I usually do it once a year, and always start it in the middle of the growing seasons
Do Nejikan pomegranates heal relatively large wounds?
They can

I use mostly miracle gro now and microdose a little each time every time I water
Excellent video and information Andrew, thank you. Have you ever used the self adhesive aluminium foil for healing wounds?
I never use foil
👍
🙏
Amazing video !! Quick question, at 1:16 why are these branches defoliated in this manner ? (leaving only the tips) . Im really curious :)
It was to push more energy into the elongation and hence thicken the branches faster
Amazing in just 5 years. I do agree that sumo trees, with short branches and triangle canopy looks unnatural.
Thanks!
How/where do you buy a chunky maple? Do you just have to be “in it”
Yeah going to as many vendor areas helps, we'll have some great material for sale at the Pacific Bonsai Expo later this year!
You can buy lots of them on Bonsai Plaza.
@@Tore1972Wisdom isn’t that based in Europe? Sadly here in the US we are a little less fortunate
@@BeesBonsai Yes it is.

Thanks for that information Andrew...can you please spell the cut paste in English please?
