The way he sighs before the last line of where did you sleep last night, is so powerful and heartbreaking. I only listened to unplugged for a few months in the 90s. Then I couldn't listen to nirvana for years. It was too sad. I was only able to play their music again ten years ago
I watched this for the first time when I was 9 years old. I loved it back then. I've watched Unplugged so many times in my life, but watching at 39...to have such musicianship, such heart, in their 20s to compose this timeless performance. Wow.
All best music is do e by people in there twenties? Maybe you don't listen to music but you do the Beatles, Dylan , Stones, oasis ,Pink Floyd on and on. Being in there twenties is a bonus,it's when you are at your best. Maybe listen or learn about music instead of making annoying cliche comments!!!

Everything was enchanting and beautiful. Kurt sang with such passion, you can feel his emotions! He was nervous and allowed himself to be so vulnerable. Respect for him always... O already had Bleach on Cassette, and they were my favorite band in high school. My friend bought me this on cassette for Christmas. I will never forget my friends calling me the day they discovered his body and left messages on my answering machine just checking to make sure I was okay. Great video, and I can't wait to see the second part.❤ Also, my all-time favorite band is Queen, which is hilarious but true.

The Manchester music photographer Kevin Cummins once said he'd photograph Joy Division and they'd be laughing and smiling and the one pic he'd use was the one of Ian Curtis looking away, looking moody or sitting on his own. He seemed to feel a tiny bit responsible for if not creating the dark moody image, progressing it for sure. The bit about Kurt's smile made me think of this. Love this video.

It's exactly how I feel about John Lennon and the Beatles. John was murdered when I was just a baby but I still grew up to inherit from my mother the love and admiration for John and the Beatles, and even artist like Janice Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Elvis Presley, or Ronnie Van zant.. Just knowing Kurt belongs in this type of company puts a smile on my face because back In '94 I wouldn't have never imagined that Kurt or Nirvana as much as I loved them would ever be mentioned in the same light as the ones on that list.

Charlie this is Fantastic. I love that You point out about the lack of rehearsal and the basic lack of trust shown in the band. Nothing oushes People further than the doubt of others. Kurt looked and sounded Fantastic. I always find that is what tips Me over on to Why This one is slightly better than A.I.C.'s one. Poor Layne was a lot worse at this point health wise than Kurt. I loved Your build Up Here on to the doubts put on and obviusly very aware off by Kurt.
Really enjoyed this and looking forward to Part 2 immensely. I never got to see Nirvana live, because (of course) I thought there would be time. Kurt and I are the same age and I adored him (and the band) for sticking up for the women in our generation. Watching these videos somehow helps to keep him 'alive'.
They say there's multiple parallel universes where other versions of us exist. If that's true it's pretty shitty we're in the one that Kurt died in 94. I ponder all the time what it would've been like if he had not died early. Excellent job Charles! Can't wait for part 2.

Kurt had Courtney barred from the Unplugged Concert. And he had people he knew personally sit in the front rows to make him feel more comfortable at this particular memorial-type, set-up.
She was barred when they were trying to record albums, but Courtney was actually hanging out backstage during the entire Unplugged concert, hobnobbing with Mtv staff. The rest of what you said is correct. Many people they knew were in the audience, most in the front row but some further back. One of their relatives was in the front row, last minute she borrowed Courtney's red flannel because the room was cold, and Kurt was wearing that person's necklace because it matched his sweater.

Charlie this is Fantastic. I love that You point out about the lack of rehearsal and the basic lack of trust shown in the band. Nothing oushes People further than the doubt of others. Kurt looked and sounded Fantastic. I always find that is what tips Me over on to Why This one is slightly better than A.I.C.'s one. Poor Layne was a lot worse at this point health wise than Kurt. I loved Your build Up Here on to the doubts put on and obviusly very aware off by Kurt.

Really enjoyed this and looking forward to Part 2 immensely. I never got to see Nirvana live, because (of course) I thought there would be time. Kurt and I are the same age and I adored him (and the band) for sticking up for the women in our generation. Watching these videos somehow helps to keep him 'alive'.

I miss Kurt just imagine all the great music and interviews we missed out on and it pisses me off to think all because he was a addict they didn't even investigate his death just believed everything Courtney said the greatest unplugged ever he even made the meat puppets famous and did there songs better then they did that's how special he was

Charles dude you nailed each take on why kury picked the songs he picked which are all fantastic when u dont look at the words to them but just wow this video made me want to go back and watch the show and just how good and chilling the aong picks are.and kurt is one of though rare rare musicians that. Are once in a blue moon Lennon kurt. Lane... just to name a few and ive came close to playing for so so long idk as someone whos played guitar 🎸 🎸 since early high school because of kurt Cobain and tony immoi...( i love sabbath what can i say) i just got lost when playing guitar i feel connected to it just for hours losting track of time at time's.. sad part is i didnt fully imbrace nirvana music until after he dided i still remember my mother telling me that day it happened... i was playing mario kart with friends i had just gotten into the band like maybe a year earlier and more so stared to listen when inutro..came out. I even had a magazine picture of just kurt from there 1st redding show with the vandalism strat next to a Metallica one i was sad and so so pissed kurt died 😢.. and angery too. As i had the incest album once xmas as my 1st introduction to yhe band and is probably why i live songs like dive as i soaked in my bathroom as a young teenager ( 13 and 14 when he died) and was wondering what i was hear ive been a long time fan of the band. And again Charles dude dude this video was perfect looking forward to the rest of it and the look at the other songs. Your channel is amazing 👏

Kurt had Courtney barred from the Unplugged Concert. And he had people he knew personally sit in the front rows to make him feel more comfortable at this particular memorial-type, set-up.
She was barred when they were trying to record albums, but Courtney was actually hanging out backstage during the entire Unplugged concert, hobnobbing with Mtv staff. The rest of what you said is correct. Many people they knew were in the audience, most in the front row but some further back. One of their relatives was in the front row, last minute she borrowed Courtney's red flannel because the room was cold, and Kurt was wearing that person's necklace because it matched his sweater.
You absolutely smashed this Charlie. Like out of the park - brilliant!
