I do agree with you on having two cameras on set, it's an amazing time saver to be able to switch from shoulder/tripod to gimbal by just picking one camera or the other, and you get the extra peace of mind of knowing that if one camera gets damaged you have a spare one and can keep on shooting

Any time there are whispers of a production coming to your area,
Do your research and reach out to producers or line producer for the chance to have a set visit. I’ve learned so much from just being in set and observing the camera crew

Yes these three tips are def close to my heart haha you can get so much from analyzing BTS!! Personally shooting shoulder mount is where I feel at home as a cinematographer. Also learned the other points only after experience and years… that having extra bodies pre rigged saves sooo much time, and also, directos moniors bring up the vibe on set substantially
