WHAT MY FAMILY EAT IN A DAY & MY NEW EATING HABITS | KERRY WHELPDALE

  • Today I am sharing what I feed my family throughout the day. During lockdown, everyone has been hungrier, probably out of boredom and so I feel they are constantly asking for food!! I have made a little snack draw in our fridge and told the boys they can help themselves to anything in there whenever they want!

Isn't she the perfect mother? Nothing bad ever happens in her life and I wish I could make my life like this. Occasionally I feel emotions such as sadness, shame and embarrassment and other dark emotions, but she had managed to eliminate these from her life entirely. Thank you Kerry, you are an angel put here by our Lord!!

it is meant to be good for your body to fast. I've never been a morning eater but again during lockdown have did so whilst working from home. I'm not sure it's right for me and I've decided to go back to what I like to do - eat when I'm hungry. Which is usually around 3pm. Works for me especially since when I start to eat I keep wanting to do it - so best to start late

I make my own ginger shots by juicing apples and ginger in bulk. I then pop it into the little plastic 'shot' cups you get in Tesco's and freeze them. Take it out the freezer about 10 mins before you drink it and it really hits the spot. You could add your own turmeric powder to it ( great properties ) but you need the one with 'curcumin' NOT the one from the supermarket spice section. xx

Kerry the fasting diet has been medically approved for many benefits. I don't eat until 12 lunch time, and get up at 7.30 am. I have noticed that I don't crave or snack as much since starting this. If I eat early in the morning I find I'm hungry all day!! Also I bought the leather slides you recommended from Matalan today and I love them. Blessings to you and your family from Ireland. X

If you want the benefits of turmeric, best to take it with some kind of fat. I like to make a golden latte with coconut milk, turmeric powder, cinnamon and a little black pepper to boost the absorption. And stevia if you like it sweet. You can also add cloves and ginger powder to make it like a gingerbread flavour. It's delicious.

Good video! I've been fasting for 18 hours a day for years! I didn't set out to do that, it started with me never being hungry for or wanting breakfast in my teens. Over the years I've settled into the habit of eating lunch between 12:00 and 13:00 and dinner around 18:00. I try not to eat after six in the evening. I do still drink as normal, it's just a food fast. Occasionally I eat earlier in the day but always regret it as I feel so much healthier eating within that six hour window. It won't suit everyone but it works well for me, and clearly also for you!

I very rarely eat before lunchtime, even when I was a child. I’m never that hungry but if I do eat early I feel like I’m constantly snacking all day. I generally follow the 16\8 fasting but also had good success with 5/2. I quite fancy trying the “one meal a day” (OMAD) way of eating. I know this isn’t for everyone but a I don’t believe in a “one size fits all” approach to anything.

My hubby fasts 16/8 and the weight is falling off him. Granted he has a very active job. I think the fast is a little less for women though because it can effect our menstrual and cycles if we fast too long. Rebecca, you can always start your eating window earlier in the day, but still fast for the same amount of hours (however long you choose), so if you were to fast the same as hubby, 16/8, you could start your eating window at 9 and finish at 5, for example.
