Roman reigns title reign is only considered long in modern WWE where the longest before Roman was Brock Lesnar at 504 days

Dom has had one legit good story with his fam. let him explore more as a heel dont just immediately give him the gold let it happen naturally. Whenever they try to force push someone people turn on them not as heel heat but as like rejection heat. Just look at what they did to roman...forced him to people for 7 years and he got booed for 7 years lmao. getting cheap heat is not good for the long run.

He was booed heavily from 2016 to 2018 until he announced his leukemia then he came back and was cheered. Maybe you marks might've hated him for 7 years but the majority live crowd didn't for that long.
My only problem was how they didnt announce most of the nxt call ups on tv but instead announced them on a show nobody watches on

I feel the reason is some talent are meant to be attractions, so in the cases of Brock, Logan and Omos, they can feud with anyone if it calls for it. We'll likely see some of the lower names either go down to NXT or will get a story coming out of it

Makes me miss the original draft that was an actual draft you know the one where vince and Ric actually reacted back and forth and were actually building drama and story lines not just switching groups,tag teams and married couples. I understand the why in some cases but it makes for a yawn session that became predictable very quickly

Kevin and Sami where Backstage and it looked like Kevin wanted to say something because he was looking at the SD Tag Championship. But then Riddle came in... So we didnt see what Kevin wanted to say.

Imo it wasn’t bad idk what people expected, every champion changed brand except 1 & a half ( Roman and technically Kevin owens )), Almost all the main eventers on each show changed, 16 call ups and more honestly it checked all the boxes the thing is they kept the pillars on each show ( jd still on raw, seth on raw, lwo/ bloodline still on smackdown) but that may be more of a tv network choice than a wwe choice. Also to me the free agent idea isn’t bad because it’s better than a stupid “ wild card rule” or people changing brands with 0 explanation . Also the free agent idea is more realistic to actually American football/ basketball drafts where wrestlers negotiate deals so they hold out on being drafted or they go undrafted , it also makes sense for 6 of the free agents storyline wise ( omos and Brock are heels who negotiated for more money and want to be treated as attractions, dolph and ziggler have been jobbers for a year now so they should have to earn a spot not be drafted because win loss wise they aren’t qualified, Corbin and Elias thought they would be early picks and were cocky but they didn’t even get drafted just like tozowa said which is storyline and even the hurt business may earn a spot alongside omos or Bobby.) lastly I think xyon and von will end up being henchmen for someone ( maybe theory, la knight or Grayson waller) which makes sense and if that happens then them being free agents makes sense. So overall I rate the draft a B- or B it wasn’t anything crazy but it didn’t have to be it was solid and I liked it. It checked all the boxes so I can’t give it lower than a C+!

Yessir this is one of the best recent drafts, just wait till y’all see how it performs the shows are gonna be insane. Both mid card title scenes will be insane and the title scenes will be great. Smackdown will focus more on Roman killing legends until he gets tired because they wanna build this up as one of the goat title reigns. He’s gonna beat guys like AJ, Bobby, edge and Rey to solidify it even more until cody gets traded and beats him or maybe he wins MITB

I love how much Triple H is putting over the new title. During my favorite Era of wrestling Ruthless Aggression Era 2002 to 2005, he was pretty much obsessed with the World Heavyweight Championship, I don't care about the shovel bullshit, Triple H was the World Heavyweight Champion and it looked amazing around his waist, so I'm glad he's selling that title as the Title to have.

Because it was overhyped, it was boring. No surprise picks, there was quite a few NXT picks but not everyone watches or keeps up with NXT. WWE needs to bring back GMs otherwise it makes draft picks meaningless imho.

@@coolerplays3477 "No surprises" and "quite a lot of NXT picks" don't necessarily mix well and believe it or not the reason people get called up is so that the many people who don't watch NXT can see them
I agree with you GreatOne. The creative concept of a Draft is to change things up creatively and start up new storylines and feuds. Triple H said things like “it will shake WWE to its core” and “teams will be split up” and guess what? None of that happened? WWE drives me crazy with it’s predictability. They could have split up The Street Profits! They could have split off the Uso’s or did some angle where Roman requested the Uso’s not be drafted. Heck you could have limited the draft to like 12 picks and had a pay per view where the rosters had like an inter brand challenge but to stretch this out to two shows is boring. It’s predictable and it does nothing for the talent. As an aside, it makes no sense to draft someone and then have them grouped with 2 or 3 or 4 people. Not. A. Draft. Pick. Also why does it make sense to draft Smackdown’s women’s champ to Raw (Bianca). If there are no rules and WWE treats it as such than why should the fans care?

Since we only have 1 women's tag team championship, we don't really need two different men's tag team championships. If they have 1 for each brand, it makes the championship look less important. Since we are getting the world heavyweight championship, we already have enough titles.
With the pops Sami and KO are getting, I expect they will work both shows

They should have introduced permanent Raw & Smackdown GMs with name value. Make it look like a back and forth draft (upset someone picked a big name). And secure belts to a brand so it doesn't look phony when they split belt evenly by coincidence.

can't wait for Backlash just so we can finnish all the long overdue storylines and give it all a reset on Raw and SmacDown afterwards. they execution of the draft might not be anything special, but it's all about what comes after. the freshness, new rivalries, new storylines, new champions (at least one after the WHC tournament, maybe someone will replace Theory too, no disrespect for the champ) i hope they wont waste all these NXT callups, especially Grayson Waller and Pretty Deadly. SmackDown can benefit a lot from these guys if booked right. although i would love PD vs New Day again, this time on the main roster, but perhaps one day we'll go back to that
Considering Sami and Kevin are on Raw and Bloodline are on Smackdown you'd have to imagnie we are close to witnessing the conclusion of their story (if they are legit about a brand split). I'm assuming based on the Smackdown roster that Jey will dethrone Roman with a Bloodline dissolution storyline. Seems with Cody on Raw and focusing on Brock that he is no longer going to take on Roman, just hope he doesn't win the new belt as it would seem like a secondary belt.

There was definitely some flaws like the GM and randomly splitting wrestlers in storylines together (Judgment day and LWO) and not to mention the switching titles yet again, but i'd say it wasn't lazy, i think it may be everyone still going through post Mania withdrawal.

WWE had forgotten a few names, Bray Wyatt, Alexa bliss, Randy Orton, Bron breakker and Big E? who knows maybe they’ll probably save them as a surprise return leading up to summerslam. For Dolph Ziggler and Johnny gargano they deserved much better than that instead of being treated like jobbers, like why can’t they have Trish stratus Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez as agents so that way it would make sense for the women’s division to have the titles in both brands and not bring the NXT women’s tag team titles in the main roster if they knew they were gonna get called up? However I’m actually more Excited for SmackDown stack roster instead of raw now that we have Grayson, Cameron grimes and LA Knight in the same roster. And I hope Bobby and AJ styles goes after Roman reigns.
It honestly wouldn't make sense to include Logan Paul in the draft. He isn't much of a wrestler. He has a busy schedule outside of wrestling for one thing. He works more as a free agent than Brock Lesnar does. At least Brock Lesnar is more consistent.

This episode of raw was meh still random mid like nothing has changed before you know it they’ll probably just have wrestlers appear on both split brands in the next few weeks or months like nothing really changed. Plus it’s disappointing that few NXT stars were being put as free agents along with Brock Lesnar Omos and them. It’s like wwe has lost what really made it special for the talents and the fans like back in 2004, 2005 and 2016.

It seems like Summerslam to wrestlemania WWE was very different than what we are getting now. Same thing repeats every week. No story is progressing it's the same old "interference" tactic each week.
Even in live events same matches , same opponents, repeated moves.

Brock vs Cody only rivalry to follow. Other than that everything seems stale

The draft was alright, it felt the same as 2019 which wasn’t that good. The picks were pretty good though.

Free agents make sense in kayfabe. If you think about it nobody will want to waste a draft pick to sign a superstar which seems to lose all the time. Heck we do the same things whem we play Wwe 2k . At the same time it would be unfair to consider a draft pick a part timer that will eventually show up 2 weeks during the entire year
