@@peterh1353 yeah i actually got it and it is pretty smooth to play on, and it looks sick in red . No problems so far , tuning is great , strings are really well rounded .

This guitar is affordable and can be use in concert. It is cute too. I'm using it.
One more thing. Use it with Ibanez strings. It goes really well. I use the cheap one but it sounds great.

I’m a beginner looking to get my first guitar, and I have completely fallen in love with the metallic red version of this guitar. I’m worried I will not like the way it sounds in the end, but from what I can tell it seems versatile even though it’s geared toward hard rock/metal. I’m a big fan of somewhat older music, especially groups like queen, Van Halen, and Eagles. Do you think this would be a good guitar for me?
Have you already bought it or not. If so, could you please tell me your opinions? I'm in the same position as you but I prefer more heavier stuff like Tool and rock too, but also cleaner stuff like Andy Timmons. Feedback would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

I have the guitar, it's decent for beginners but of course the pikcups are not great. As for the sound, I get a nice sound with a boss katana 50mkii. Cleans are ok, but everything else has to do with your amp.
The neck dive is a bit on the heavy side though, so beware if you have skinny arms, or want to play standing up. Personally I don't mind.

Nice guitarI have grx70...think both 70 n yours have similar except the tremolo arm is different mine should.be 2004 made oldet i guess i removed the string trees and whack the tremolo like its floyd rose and it wont go.out for tune...i am super surprised how it never go out of tune!! Thats what i love about this guitar

Hello . Almost have to decided to buy a 70 as a first and only guitar . Would like to know how it compares to the 121 or the 170 . D o these two models really worth spending on as a first guitar . And for the 70 , did you notice the strings going out of tune will playing . I 've read some comments saying that it needs tunning very often .

I've got the exact same situation here. Everything you say was exactly everything I was questioning, plus I don't know if the fact that the GRX70QA only has 22 frets is a major negative aspect relatively to the 24 frets the 131 (which is my option instead of the 121, but they're very similar).
What did you end up doing? And what do you recommend?
I have this guitar. It does have this problem while tuning it but once it’s tuned it tends to stay there. Using larger gauge helps. In the end I’m now getting locking tuners and I’m staying at a 10 52 string setup.
If you can pick this guitar up for 200-ish USD then it blows other guitars at the same price out of the water. This is a metaphorical colloquialism meaning "it is far better than other guitars for its price, if you can find one for less than $200."
However, there are other good guitars that are similar or better at $300-$400 that you should look into and see what will work best for you. One thing to keep in mind for beginners is that smaller guitars are easier to play and feel more comfortable to hold for most people, consider the lighter sounding Ibanez GART60. It isn't the same sound but it might be better for a new player.

I purchased this guitar and am very please with it, the only thing im confused about is why they made a whammy possibly for this guitar if the guitar just goes out of tune without a floyd rose.
Open up the back of the guitar and adjust the claw and springs till you float the bridge to the proper angle and you will be able to do dive bombs easily.

This is a great video to highlight special effects and over-driven playing; but what about the clean sound, playability, versatility? No information, no speaking. Any guitar, from a $150 Ibanez to a $6,000 Gibson can sound like this with pedals. How about the pure sound of the guitar itself?

I'm a guitar noob so this might be silly.. but everywhere i saw this model there's a rod there on the tremolo bridge; was it just removed for the demo? is it usually not attached if you're not tweaking the hardware?
I have this same guitar in red there is a tremolo rod but it screws on (like most other guitars with one) you can see the hole that it screws into on the edge of the bridge when he moves his hand
