2024 IRS TAX REFUND UPDATE - NEW Refund Approved, Adjusted Tax Refunds, Delays, Transcripts

- On today’s IRS tax refund update we will recap the latest developments including those ongoing tax refund delays still impacting many of you as well as the next round of tax refunds scheduled for release this week, and from there we will check in on those who have been getting assistance in regards to those tax refunds and one of the key reasons that has been leading to delays this year and the paperwork you may want to have ready if in fact your one of those impacted. Starting off with the latest as the next round of tax refunds is scheduled for release on June 12th and June 14. Now taking a look at the tax transcript from one of our viewers who is receiving that tax refund on June 14th, they actually ended up filing their tax return in early February now in this particular situation the viewer not only had to verify their ID but there tax return was also subject to random wage and tax withholding verification as confirmed by the 570 tax transcript code seen here after which a 60 day notice from the IRS was sent out notifying them of the review and that no further action was necessary, and eventually the 570 code was reversed by the 571 code which appeared on the same day as the 846 refund issue code and the 776 refund interest code, it is also important to note this was one of many viewers who reached out to their congressional representative for assistance and was able to see that refund released within 30 days from when they requested assistance. Many of our viewers experiencing delays are encountering the 571 and 971 codes on their tax transcripts as seen here as well as possibly receiving various letters from the IRS such as the CP 05 notice like seen here informing the taxpayer that they are reviewing the tax return, and need an additional 60 days, it is also important to note that those impacted by this may receive more than one notice as they continue to wait on that tax refund.

My transcript finally got updated and my refund is due this week. I filed on 1/31 and received 2 "it may take 60 days to resolve your taxes" letters. But I contacted my congressman and it took about a month but my transcript was updated on Friday. The presenter was right about contacting your congressman.
What part was updated if i might ask? Wage and income?!?

What state are you in? I filed for Texas and km hoping it font take a month. I waited a month for them to contact TAS

@@Francisco-oj1en i got a letter asking for my health insurance pages, hard copies which matched turbo tax numbers completely. i mailed them in 6 weeks ago. honestly, i think it was an excuse. i think no one has opened my envelope yet. biggest refund of my life is going to take the longest to ever get..... i'm dumbfounded.

I called the IRS office and they said they couldn't find out why my tax is being held in code 570? She kept searching to find the issue and nothing! I was on the phone for 30 minutes but they couldn't find any problems? I e-filed January 31st. YOU COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING?? THEN WTF AM I ON CODE 570 FOR?? SUCH BS!!
That’s cuz they using our taxes to pay for the wars but telling us it’s discrepancies with our return smh

how long after the 2nd letter stating that they need an additional 60 days to finish reviewing our taxes does it take to update transcripts?
My processing date has been stuck on apr 29, 2024. I just reached out to my congressman to reach out to the TAS or however its supposed ro work. Im tired of waiting.
I don’t understand I call on Friday the lady told she had mark my account that they been giving me wrong information and that to check on 18 of this month for a update in were is my refund it was saying I need to do I I’d not on Saturday change to still being processed so now I don’t know if I have to do the id o not I spent 2 hours in the line waiting before that they hang up this is ridiculous I even asked her do you think I should look for help she said if I was you don’t do it because it can take more time I just don’t know what to do anymore 😢😢

My tax person had 9 left 2 weeks ago thats waiting on there taxes.. there's like 4 left ..That's some progress but still moving slow since I filed in February
I filed February 4th. And still have not received my. First it was missing something but they never told me exactly. Then i had to verify i did it online. Then called and found out I had to verify myself over the phone. Then called again today and they said they sent out another letter. Then got a hold of someone else saying that I just have to wait the 9 weeks.
I’m still waiting for my 2021 refund and I spoke to someone in irs in march and they said to wait 60dqys more and nothing

Contacted my congressman since 05/04 they send my case to TAS after 10 days they call me back saying there is nothing wrong with my case and TAS will contact the IRS to release my refund. 3 weeks and I still waiting!! I really don’t know what to do???

We in the same boat, my congressman and TAS said in (bold black letters) they giving them up to July 25th so in other words another 30-45 days from Thur but my as of date updated two weeks ago with their help to June 17th
