Thank you! My favorite producitin boat. If I'm lucky and can afford to buy a used sailboat over the next 5 years, a 470 or 500 will most likely be the one.
Glad you like it, you might find over the next few years as charter companies start to change out their boats there will be a few 470s on the market especially in the States.
Thanks for the review. I find this Dufour absolutely enormous. I don't like the idea of using fresh water for the toilets. On a transatlantic crossing, one flush and you've used your water quota for the day! Does anyone agree?
Glad you like it and yes it is a big boat for a fifty, well set up for the charter market or an owner that keeps their boat in the med. I like to have one manual toilet on a boat (normally the day heads as it's less likely to get blocked up) but with water makers nowadays on most modern yachts and such large water tanks, we don't have to conserve fresh water as much. I do find though that I am still in the habit of being careful about how much water we use. 😁
Great tour, as usual 😊 Curious that the VIP has day head access, whereas the 3rd cabin has its own head. Would've made more sense to reverse the lazarette to the other side.
Thank you, It's funny as I would rather have a small bunk cabin instead of the heads on the starboard side. I think two heads and showers on a boat around 50 feet is enough but I don't mind washing in the sea if that's the only option.😁😂
Great video as usual! The different colors of the teak boards on the cockpit floor are clearly visible😂. Once in the comments you mentioned a planned RM factory tour and a test drive their 1380. Should we hope for this? Thanks for your work!
Thank you and yes a Factory tour is on the cards with RM and a test sail sometime this year. We are in La Rochelle over the next few days With Dufour, so I will pop into RM while I am there to set some dates.
Well that's a great question. I was looking for a live aboard that I can take just about anywhere. I will have to single hand because my friend has never been on a boat.
Great review as usual! I was wondering if you are planning to review the new - and very controversial - Dufour 37. Would love to hear your thoughts on the "internal anchor locker" which is unusual and never seen before. Is this something that can become a trend? Thanks!!
Thank you, glad you liked it and yes I am going to have a look tomorrow as it happens. We have an invite to have a look around and as Dufour is just down the road I thought I might have a little peak and take the camera to see what all the fuss is about. 🤩😇
Please don't forget me! :-) I am still very curious on the Dufour 37 and their innovative and controversial "hidden anchor locker" only accessible from the main cabin. Thanks!!!
@@rodrigoricardi7371 we had a good look and understand why they changed the chain locker, you will see don't worry it's coming very soon with the 41ft and the 430 too.

I really like the videos and content. One question. What boat would you recommend for single hand live aboard for two people.
That would depend upon many factors ie what do you plan to do or go on your chosen boat?

Well done! Appreciate you
Thank you, glad you liked it
