    I think he's partly right about the reason these aren't selling but that's certainly a personal taste issue and I don't understand why people don't like the styling. I own a 22 overlandand absolutely love the way it looks and let's face it, the Wrangler is not practical while the Gladiator is the best of both worlds. All IMHO.

    I am 6'6" and I was actually surprised by the size inside. I fit fine because the seat is higher up than SUV inside to the foot well.

    I've really liked the look of these since they came out, honestly. The price on these are absurd, though. It's probably my favorite looking truck, but I'll probably go with a Tacoma when it comes time to buy in a couple of years.

      The price is extreme. They lease really well though since they have a high residual value like the wrangler has. So you can lease one of these Gladiators at 50 grand for around $375 month with minimum signing fees and 15,000 miles a year based off invoice pricing. For a similarly priced Grand Cherokee with similar terms would be at least $100 more per month due to the poor residual values. Idk if I’d want to buy out a Gladiator for as much as they cost new though. I think there’s better trucks out there for 50 grand. But they’re a good value for leasing if you want a nice midsize truck. They’re good vehicles and are unique. The look grows on you also. One easy and cheap way to help the look or it too is a 2 inch lift and 35 inch tires. It adds a lot of character to it and makes it look more like a Jeep should.

    Dealers in my area can’t keep them in stock and they’re not discounting them. I know because Ive been waiting 3 months for my order. How is this not doing well?!

      Maybe you should branch out your search area, where I am in Southern California Jeep is advertising "Employee Pricing For All" and $5,000 discounts on 2020 Gladiators

      @@CarDietrichI’m in Michigan but I would imagine that’s because the 2021’s are out and that’s what mine is as well. I wanted a manual and searched quite a bit for one, had to order. Even still the 2020 models are selling like hot cakes here.

    • @CarDietrich
      @CarDietrich  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well I'm glad to hear they're supporting the home teams in Michigan. Good on you for wanting a manual, I hope you enjoy your Gladiator when it finally arrives.

      @@CarDietrich I’m in Michigan also and they’re everywhere on dealers lots. They still have the employee pricing for all plus other available rebates in December. You may have had a hard time finding a manual because they don’t make many like that. But automatics are all over dealers lots in SE Michigan. My one complaint is that it’s very hard to find an 80th anniversary or Overland with the LED headlights and taillights in stock without having to go up to a Rubicon or higher trim. I disagree with the guy here with what he said about the LED lighting. Every new vehicle should come stock with it. They’re safer, give out way more light, last longer, and it makes the vehicle look modern in 2020. The Gladiator has a lot of optional things that should be standard at its price range. Even the Jeep Cherokee comes stock at 20 grand with LED headlights now. You’d think it would be stock on $50,000 Jeep.

    If you don’t like the truck then don’t review it. Biased reviews suck. And no CD player? No one needs those anymore! You say it like it lost points for that. LoL

      That's kind of the point of reviews, whether you like the item or not, an in depth review from both perspectives is better than the fan girls only giving it positive reviews

      Yes it is, but if you’re biased and against it from the beginning, then put that in the description so people can skip..

    I would love one of these but honestly to damn expensive and I mean really expensive. They are out of reach of the average schnook like myself. A base forester or base 4 cylinder tacoma (4 x 2) for my camping and upstate needs would suffice just fine, once I trade my 2016 legacy. In my area almost all jeeps are mall or highway queens, nothing more. I think this vehicle would be better with 2 doors and not four.

    • @CarDietrich
      @CarDietrich  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think in all areas most Wranglers are mall-crawlers, if it's any other jeep model made in the last ten years there's like a 0.01% chance it's been off road

    • @flat4forlife588
      @flat4forlife588 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@CarDietrich You should see the horrid gawdy things people to do jeeps in my area. Huge wheels and tires, crazy LED light bars and other obnovious things. I prefer them clean and minimal looking. All the stuff I see does little to nothing to improve the vehicles capabilities and actually does the opposite. I wish a basic wrangler was more affordable as I do alot of camping and stuff upstate NY. Like I have said prior nothing an base forester or base tacoma can't handle.

      @@CarDietrich There is tastefull then there is tacky, near me, most lean towards tacky lol. A few nice jeeps running around here but the most take it to far. I guess people near me have plenty of money to spare.

      A friend of mine up in Tahoe had an '87 Wrangler he used to take up on the Rubicon every year. The car had a 2" lift and slightly larger tires and that was it. The changes were subtle enough it wasn't even obvious that it wasn't stock unless it was parked next to another Wrangler. It made it through every time, I think he took it like ten times.
