Skip you and I go wayyy back to an emcee gig I did at little Huntington High School in Huntington IN with our lost friend Billy Jo Thomas, who later I had on my morning show in Nashville. If I were still in the music biz and playing there’s no other songwriter I would be interested in teaming with than yourself. As you know Nashville in a small town and you hear all the stories, and I don’t care how many words are in a song if I could only ask for 10 to be a small part it would be worth it because of your brilliance. There hasn’t been another like you since you moved west. You haven’t lost a thing brother. From sliver of the moon to Answer to my prayer to Wyoming are all elevated amazing works of art, but my fav is still Naturally. Like you I’ve moved from Nashville, I can’t I miss the trend of the city but I do miss all my friends. I’m in the process of enjoying Road to California and the stringing of great lines are amazing. While your out west if you see Michael “Murph”y please tell him he old friend at Hippie Radio in Nashville Chris Lucky says Hello, yes it’s a small world.
