Sattriya Dance of Assam is the eight Indian Classical Dance created by Mahapurush Srimanta Shankardev and his disciple Mahapurush Madhabdev in the 15th century. This dance form has been recognised by Sangeet Natak Academy in the year 15th November, 2000 under the chairmanship of Late Dr. Bhupen Hazarika and underlying painstaking efforts of my Greatgrand uncle Late Dr. Maheshwar Neog along with Dr.Keshavananda Deva Goswami, Late Rosheswar Saikia Barbayan.
This piece describes the prime ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu in the Bhagavat Gita. It is a popular and traditional mythology. This piece has been composed by Guru Ramkrishna Talukdar(Sangeet Natak Academy Awradee), in it's traditional tune and taal- Ek Taal.
