I’d be so grateful if you could do a video about how to free roam in a bedroom. ( wires , space , what supplies ) especially if ur bunny is a huge chewer..
suggestion: Make a good space(figure out a good place to out them), Put all cables up on a desk or bed, If you cant just but like a plastic straw! Metal can hurt the bunny's teeth, Really big bed, NEVER EVER A CAGE!!!!!! Alot of spaces, hiding spots included! big litter box! maybe hay in the litter box because bunnies eat poop sometimes to, Alot of toys! No hard wood! L-E-D lights if no lights, hidey house maybe as a bed! blankets like 2 blankets, Lots and Lots of hay. Big bowl of pellets but fulled like 1 and a half of a cup! Lots of water and a rug, never enter there space with socks or shoes! because of the new bunny 🦠 virus
Let’s just take a moment to realize that while the set ups have their flaws, the owners submitted the pictures wanting to improve. They want their bunnies to have better lives!
I can see that, but these are her subscribers I’ve been watching her for 1 day and improved. I didn’t need to show her my tiny cage and shitty living space to know that most of the D graded subs should of. They could have tried a little effort she was being generous with the grades too. On her part 2 one of the subs didn’t even clean b4 he took a pic how just how. Here’s my rabbit covered in feces saying is this good? Might as well took a picture of his “clean” toilet without a curtesy flush. Some I get tho they are kids and can’t let the bunny roam bc parents don’t care, but show a little effort that’s all I’m asking.
Part of me thinks some of these are somebody’s attempt to shame someone else. Like, “look Dad, this expert gave our set up an F. Can WE PLEASE ENLARGE IT NOW???”
Brooke _ReiverRose_ that’s more probable than them just admitting they want to change. Kids are often gifted rabbits as kids and their parents think of them as small pets like mice and hamsters than as animals who need as much space as a cat or dog.
That's all well and good, but if they are outright neglecting their rabbit despite being subscribed to this channel, then I can't have much sympathy. Most of the bad ones on these look like animal cruelty cases, and ones that don't even have water or anything? If you "need help" with that basic concept then you need a lot more help than just basic habitat advice. So sorry, but I don't really buy that.
My grandparents' rabbit has a whole room to himself. He lives in the sunroom. It does get pretty cold so we bring him inside the house when it gets low in temperature. Though, we also have a heat lamp for when we can't bring him in.
Same, my rabbit was outside, not litter trained pellets and water bottle now my bun bun is running around everywhere, litter trained and only has a pellets once a day 🤗 he’s so happy now
First Lieutenant it can cause dehydration and bacteria can build up in the nozzle plus you wouldn’t give that to your dog or cat so why give it to a bunny
Brought my friend here after his rabbit past away at 3 years old. He didn’t seem to understand why his rabbit didn’t live long. He had a petsmart rabbit cage (pathetically small) only feed hay ( no veggies) , small litter box with no hay, dirty water bottle ( never cleaned). I was really frustrated because I offered to pay out of my own pockets to improve the bunnies living conditions but he wouldn’t allow it because he didn’t want to take up the space. When he said he wanted another rabbit I told him no. I said it was extremely irresponsible and selfish to not be educated on proper rabbit care and bring yet another rabbit victim to die slowly in a tiny box of a cage. After showing him this video he cried. He couldn’t believe he was so oblivious to how much rabbits need, he understands now that he is not ready to bring in another rabbit for a long time and the next time around will be very different.
It's really many pet store's problem that they classify rabbit as "small animals" like hamster while they are not! Most of the people I saw who keep rabbit in the inhumane living condition doesn't do that deliberately, but because they learned from the pet store (or meat rabbit factory) that the rabbit only needs a small cage to live. We need more education on this.
Ming Chen I totally agree with you! My friend is very caring and full of love for animals. It wasn’t his fault that he was told by big pet store companies to treat his rabbit that way. He really did want the best possible care for his bunny. There needs to be big change with these chain pet stores on proper pet education for owners of all animals.
It feels like some of these people are too young to have a rabbit (like one with the REAAALLY small cage) parents need to make more research before buying a pet
Im 10, and my mom decided that after research, a rabbit was a good pet for me! My 2 rabbits have a hugeeeee cage ! They roam around sometimes. They have everything their need, including water, things that are safe for them to chew on, hay, and rabbit food. I know it might sound stupid but just saying! Some people that are young like me know what they’re doing sometimes :)
Yeah I agree even though my parents brought it for my brother but I still taking care of it and my rabbits are fine with it AND I'm just a 13 year old girl 😥😔😭
Yeah, but some of them have parents that won't allow it sadly. Hopefully they can at least do their best to improve in other ways until they movie out.
@Shaikh Mustafa Salman Harsh? The only reason you think she's being harsh is because you'd be the kind of person to have a bad setup, and you don't like that she wouldn't approve of it.
14:25 I think that it is one of the more aesthetically pleasing ones. It has everything and it’s spacious and has neutral tones. Definitely not ugly! It is also better for bunnies to have natural colours rather than bright pinks and yellows.
@@nicolep2424 I have one rabbit she has a big cage we made it out of heater covers I dont know wat they called but yuh she has plat forms she can jump up on and she can also go under my bed she sleeps in there and stuff but shes never locked in there she free roams my room and I have a pretty massive room but I also have a cat and she loves being in my room but I only ever let her in for 2 hours a day which is when my bunny goes in her cage but it's around the time when she just likes to sleep she really likes my cat but my cats wild so I dont think I could ever let them out together but other then that shes perfectly litter trained sleeps on my bed at night i class her fully free roam i just have to give my cat attention to yah know i have a dog and inside cats so i couldn't free roam her the whole house but she really doesn't need it my room is pretty big so yuh her cage is big and she is only in there 2 hours a day well i spend time with my cat i also have a free roam bird that flys around my room it took my parents a while but i finally got them to understand that rabbits are good pets and all that because the world has really put a whole other nature on rabbits that isnt true so I'm really grateful i got her when i was in a bad place at first i had her outside at night but eventually she was fully free roam inside and we made the cage later on as a way for me to spend time with my cat she really likes having her own space and she loves her cage she can also come out and go on top of the cage where she looks out the window and lays in the sun i have blankets laid out u really dont have to do much for ur rabbit to bond with u if there happy which having them free roam does that then they will love you
@@larasayer5636 that's friggin awesome! I'm getting a bird tomorrow to nurse back to health! I have a free roam rabbit and he is so so so so nice to me. He's super spoiled and has a series of tunnels in our back yard. He likes to play with dogs. What games do you play? I wanna get a remote control car and attach a stuffed animal to it to chase him. He loves being chased.
If your parents don't allow your bunny to have free roam time and you don't have the space and or money to fulfill your bunnies needs then don't get one in my opinion. :/
@@emmaparker I agree. I mean, I have a dog, two cats and a bunny. One of the almost full-grown cats doesn't pay any mind to the rabbit. But the other kitten is kind of mean. But OMG THE DOG! She needs to go outside when the bunny is inside and the other way around when she is outside be we almost smash her snout closing the door!
Agree. If you know you can't provide an animal the best life it can have then don't be selfish and just don't get the animal. Nobody is FORCING you to have a bunny so really any excuse to not have a good living situation for your bunny is just a reason you shouldn't have one.
It's crazy that some people act like pets are needs instead of wants. Like, for example, "oh I want a rabbit but my parents will only let me put it in a small cage. Oh well, guess I'll buy it a small cage." No. Just don't get the rabbit. It blows my mind that people know that their treatment of the animal will not give the animal happiness and will cause harm to the animal, yet they go out and buy it anyway because they simply want it. They are not requirements, and if you can't give it the proper care it needs, don't get it. That simple, folks.
Sam Is Trash I agree I did this I got a hamster and only had the money to get a small cage it was alright but a little small but after a month I got a big cage he is now happy.
Sam Is Trash I hate how my brother is always saying “I need a pet” like bro, you don’t NEED a pet, you want one but can’t give it the required living style. For example he said he has enough to buy a hamster cage, as in one of those tiny square ones. I try taking notes and giving it to him but like, I guess he just hates to be wrong. Anyways, my point is that I absolutely agree with you
When i was younger i wanted a lizzard, my dad made me research and made sure i knew what i was getting into, then when we actually got the lizard my dad decided that the electricity bill was too high, so the lizzard could live with 8 hours of light, instead of the 12 i knew it needed! he wouldn't listen to me, and the lizard ended up getting sick and dying i did my reseach, i knew what they needed, but i was unable to provide for my pet :(
You are SO very right! I "ordered" a Holland Lop Bunny from a local breeder -- I had had a bunny that I found outside years before and decided a bunny would be a nice pet. When I ordered the new bunny I bought a book and read about how to care for her. Ended up my poor first bunny was TOTALLY not taken care of well! I used to laugh that he would chew the electric cords! He had NO toys and would chew the legs of my furniture - but I didn't know anything about having a bunny. I even let him use the cat litter instead of rabbit litter - AND he had NO HAY! Only pellets! The one good thing I did was let him outside in the back yard every day so he was probably eating grass. He never left the back yard even though he could easily have run away or been killed by a cat or dog. I was stupid because videos like Lennon weren't available. The book I read opened my eyes, like this video - about how we don't intentionally hurt our furry friends but how we are ignorant to their needs. My bunny, Sesame Bun, is a sweet girl and has total run of my house 24-7. She loves me and I love her. She even meets me at the door when I come home if I have to go out! I hope people will pay attention and allow their bunnies to be the best bunnies they can be!
Autumn Smith It depends on the bunny in total honesty. The cage my friend gave my bunny in busted and my bunny HATED it- at night she would slam her body full force against the side like she was about to die, and would scream if I even tried to put her back in after play time. For the meantime since my room was not bunny proofed and has far too much she can get hurt with, I put her in my old parakeets bird cage. When I went to get whatever untouched hay I could scavenge from the old one, I found she had been locked in that cage and neglected and the old owners just kept throwing enough hay to cover the piles of poop and pee. I was horrified and needless to say, he’s not my friend anymore. She was alright in the new cage, just slightly uncomfortable. The next morning (since the recaging incident happened at 3am), I got a cute pink oder absorbent bedding, and plenty of clean new hay. I pimped out this cage thinking it would only be for a week tops, but it turns out my little Muu loves it! I busted out the big door on the side so she can leave and come as she pleases but she spends most her time in the cage unless she wants me to refill the food bowl! In fact, when I take the cage away for it’s weekly cleaning, she starts crying because of how much she loves it!
Smiley Face OP that’s so wrong. every single bunny needs LOTS of space-preferably free roaming. it doesn’t depend on the bunny. yes, they may react in different ways, but it’s bad for them to be in small cages.
I have that basic blue cage because i moved and im building a "habitat" room for them. But they roam around pretty much all day and cage is open so they can go in and out
My rabbit sleeps in a cage about the size of her f's. But that's because my house can't be fully rabbit proofed. There are wires I cant remove than run along the floor in every room. So he free roams when I'm home to keep an eye on him, and if I go out he has a rabbit run outside (assuming the weather is rabbit safe). All the people with small cages never said that was the only place their rabbit had access to. Infact in 2 of them I saw poop really far from the cage, suggesting the rabbit definitly free ranges. I think she shouldn't have reviewed the cages that didnt have descriptions explaining how much time their rabbit spends in there. A small cage is 100% fine if your rabbit only really sleeps in it.
@@elliepearse3145 you know.the problem with people like you? It is like you never heard about daily hiurs of excersise......as long as people only use the cage as a bed for the night and as long as the rabbit is comfortable who cares?
My 2 Gerbils too. I‘m so mad about people who treat their animals like this. If u don‘t have enough space, money or whatever to care perfectly for the pet, u shouldn‘t get one. That’s pure egoism.
My rabbit has been in a hutch for about 2 years and was in my room about 1 year when we first got her. It was really sad for me to see my mam move her into a hutch as she was chewing the carpet and I had no say in it whatsoever. “Rabbits stink” “she chews everything”. Well fast forward to now. I’m 17 about to move into my boyfriends dads with my boyfriend and he openly said hazel(my rabbit/lion lop breed) can have the spare room and I am so excited. She finally gets to have the space she deserves. I can’t take back the last 2 years she’s had to spend in an outdoor hutch but I can sure as hell make sure the rest of her life is amazing. It’s never too late to transform your bunnies life
yeah some of the bigger cages they sell for rabbits are a good size for dwarf hamsters but those cages wouldnt even begin to cut it for a bunny. i get rabbit cages that are like 4ft by 1.5ft and put mesh around the outside and fill the bottom dish pan thing with nothing but bedding. if you are doing this get the ones that meet the size i recommended or bigger
When I bought my bunny, I kind of impulse bought. I was really emotional from losing one of my pets, and just fell in love with her at first sight. I had a rabbit when I was younger but I now know my family did a poor job of caring for them. We tried our best for what we knew though. I did A LOT of research and I'm so glad that I did. My bun is happy and healthy now. She isn't cuddly, but I figure thats more of her personality than anything though.
This makes me smile! I’m glad your family did their best with their knowledge and I’m glad you did research when you got this one. I’m happy she’s happy and healthy ❤️
Lorelei saying most of us don’t even need her/her channel, but she’s the reason we have such nice setups and take great care of our rabbits so well. 💗💗
I like the "rabbitats" word. My cats have their "catio" so why not? My bun is doing burnouts in the living room while I'm watching this 🐇🐰 PS-it's called a scratching post. My cats use it when they're too lazy to walk to the couch! 😹
@Shaikh Mustafa Salman I just might do that if I can figure out how. I don't do a lot of social media besides this. It's kind of under construction anyway because I'm thinking about adopting Curtis a buddy
@Shaikh Mustafa Salman I might just do that. We're doing other stuff right now and getting geared up for Halloween so it might have to be after all that
I really feel bad for the rabbits I used to have when I was younger, after watching your video's. Wish I have known. Ty for making videos and spread awareness!
Janci Francis most times its parents giving their kids pets like bunnies because they think it’s not much work. My parents were like this and looking back I’ve seen so much We did wrong with the bunnies we had. Watching her videos helped me realize a lot and I’m trying to do better now for the sake of our current bunny. But I wish more people would do research and not just get a pet because they think it’s easy
I did my research but I was still trial and error. The shops also lead you astray with all the treats and habitats. If your learning from a animals shop they don’t tell you the right info.
I was going to get a rabbit. My parents were super excited too....but then we did lots of research and decided it's not best to get one. Really happy we did our research or else my rabbit would be suffering in a small cage right now. So instead I got a hamster. ( Which I love ALOT!!) I will get a rabbit one day tho, just when I have enough space😄
Lorelei: “Rabbits are smarter than that” (referring to the fact that they won’t soil the hay) Me: “ My hedgehog peed in one of his water bowls... and his food... he is not hygienic... *I still love the little squirt* His name is Bobby. 🦔
I am getting a bunny on Saturday so I am beyond excited and this channel has really helped me understand what to do and how to properly care for my future bb. so excited for Saturday!!!
19:50 The voice she uses sounds like she was going to cry and it hurts me so much that owners are not taking the proper care or responsibility that rabbits need😭💔
Thank you SO much for reviewing our rabbit Franklin's setup we are working on ordering another x- pen to expand and we let him out to roam around that room at least twice a day an hour and a half each but yeah thank you for reviewing ours!
Thanks to you Lorelei my bunny is living so much better. She had a tiny, wire bottom cage for several years, and now she's living her best life in a 30 square foot X-Pen! (I wish I could free roam her but it isn't a option for me right now) Thank you for making these videos and informing people!
I have 8 rabbits that I breed for show and breed qualities and they always live in stacked wire cages all the time and I think it's like 1 by 1 or 2 by 2 and they are all fine lol
@@dyllon5133 how do you know they're "fine"? I mean they might get a little bored living in small cages. Or at least not not as happy as free roamed ones
@@Ittybitty43 ofc giving your animal enough space is important. My point is she is TOO sensitive with animals. One time she couldn't take a harmless joke video, where someone put a brown bunny into the oven (not on obv) and then the video cut to the next clip where they take out a black bunny. As it if was baked, but in reality they didn't hurt the bunnies. She basically got super mad at the harmless clever joke and called it unfunny. Bruh, they didn't actually cook the rabbits. Wtf
Magic cow gacha You have no videos and no proof it was yours, and are not responding to any of these comments requesting answers to questions, pretty sus probs lying-
My bunny went from being in the cage half of the time and only coming on my bed and going outside for 10 minutes to free roaming all day snuggling with me all day and going outside for HOURS. You have really changed my bunny’s life
Lol i was exactly the same except for the bed part, she hates My bed so I've given up on cuddling in bed, but she loves if when we lay down on the floor and cuddle 💖
my rabbit went from being stuck in an XL barred dog cage with a tiny purple hay rack and catlitter in a corner litterbox drinking out of a water bottle, quite genuinely neglected (like literally neglect), never let out of her cage, was attacked by our ferrets twice, out of water a lot of the time (surprisingly we managed to give her greens almost every day, but literally nothing else) to not being caged for a year already, lives in my room with a cat water dish, a big litter box and a lot of hay, sleeping in a bed-- she hates my bed to be honest, i wish she snuggled more but you can only ask for so much amiright she went from being traumatized and neglected, possibly needing vet assistance from the time she suffered the first ferret attack to literally owning my room (haha im not complaining) i was trying to get her rehomed since my parents and siblings didn't want to do anything for her, and i was already taking care of the ferrets but we made it work, and now i'm taking care of the rabbit all the time and i'm not getting bored of it :) it's thanks to everyone around me when i reached out for help. i will never forget the day(s) i cleaned up my room and switched from taking care of the ferrets to taking care of the bunny. she was much happier even on the first night- at first i kept her in a cage at night but i decided i'd rather not have to chase her back in, being prey animal and all. i can't thank the rabbit community enough :) even better, i plan to get rabbits in the future and have them free-roam, a much better life than what my first bunny will live.
I really want to get my own bunny however I’m finishing up my study (nursing) and after that I’m going to try and move to my country of birth, which means. Have to wait to the end of the year to get a bunny. I always wanted one (as a baby my favourite toy was a stuffed bunny haha) and recently it got really serious when i thought of myself living on my own and i wanted to share that space with a pet. I’m so thankful for this you tube channel as initially i thought it was a small cage animal but i know know that they are so so so much more than that and amazing!!
Thank you for reviewing my Rabbit, Dolly’s hutch and run! We live in the UK so summers aren’t too hot (apart from the occasional heatwave) and it doesn’t seem to rain too too much where I am either but we have a rain cover (tarpaulin over the run) to help give a bit of shelter. The reason I leave her in the hutch during the night is because I usually lock the hutch doors onto the run but if those were to come undone, the doors would shut possibly leaving her stuck outside in the run. :)
I thought your setup looked awesome! I'm from NZ and we don't really get severe weather so a lot of the rabbit community have large outdoor set ups including the rabbit rescue guys.
Leah I would recommend talking to them about it or showing them some rabbit care videos. You’ve probably already tried those but that’s all the recommendations I have. Best of luck.
It’s not legally neglect if they are alive and fed basically and not injured or anything. No laws saying they need the right food or the right size areas etc sadly. SO what you should do is sit down with her nicely and say hey I was researching bunny care and I think you should see some of this stuff or whatever ya wanna say :) don’t be confrontational or accuse her of not caring or doing something bad chances are HIGH she got it from a pet store with the supplies and they said it’ll be just fine. Most people make mistakes when owning pets but doesn’t mean they don’t love them. Learn from it and improve. Depending on her situation I’m sure you guys can work it out together and good luck:)
Thanks for doing these! I have been binging your content all weekend as my niece's pair of bunnies had babies before he could get neutered. She said they were unsupervised, like barely ever ,but they got it done! I'm adopting 1 and need help getting myself ready! It's only 1 bunny and I hope she bonds with my super friendly cat who wants a friend.... she will be so happy!
My bunny has lived outside for 7 years now and he’s doing great so I think it is fine having your rabbit outside. I guess it just depends on the environment/ security of the garden:)
It's absolutely fine, depending on the weather. Them shutting them inside at night shouldn't have downgraded the grade. Farm rabbits live outside. They're still domesticated rabbits who are barely bothered by anything.
Exactly in the UK it's very common to keep your rabbit outside. It's encouraged by vets and the RSPCA etc to keep them in sheds with an attached run and this is the most naturalistic habitat you can give them. My rabbit stays outside in a massive shed and run and he's perfectly happy and healthy
ICY Alice my rabbits live outside and are perfectly fine. They are mainly covered by a tree which gives them shelter but also have a completely sheltered indoor part. Sometimes it’s chucking it down and they choose to sit in the rain, a bit of weathering is good for them. I also live in the UK so most of the rabbits I know are outside rabbits. The are perfectly safe as foxes can’t get into the garden. Though we did have a robin get stuck in their hutch.
Thats what i hot when i had my bunnie and rabbit when i was a kid, my dad built a massive shed for them and it was next to our cottage and fence so it was warmer, since i was a kid i didnt really care but now i look back on it im acctually suprised because my dad hates almost any small animals so i guess he had a soft spot for them haha, unfortunately they passed a few years ago because they both had an illness :(
*I don’t have a rabbit nor do I want one I love my rats* but I wanted to say that it’s great that your being honest and letting people know if their setup isn’t working for their rabbits
9:01 no way please tell me that’s a JOKE. like hamsters have bigger cages than that. my turtle has a bigger tank than that i feel so bad for the bunny🥺
@@jaylovesjesusamen4390 maybe not a problem for you but probably a problem for your guinea. having too small of a cage can and will cause your pet stress. thats a fact. despite it having "no problem" from what you observed its most likely not "no problem" from the guinea pigs perspective. and hamsters. if you have ever owned and taken proper care of hamsters you would know that hamsters need long cages so they can run. hamsters run roughly 5.6 miles a night so they are going to need a much larger cage than that. once again the hamster could have looked okay but wasnt. im sorry if im being harsh but these things are important to me.
She talks a lot about having an area rug for friction, but rugs can be expensive. A more affordable option is a painter’s canvas. They’re easy to clean. They have many different sizes and prices. I’ve linked one for only $8. 4 ft. 9 in. x 4 ft. 9 in. Poly Back Canvas Drop Cloth Runner www.homedepot.com/p/203006581
I guess I’d be concerned that if there were an accident outside of the litter box, that the foam would absorb it and you wouldn’t know, and how would you clean it? They can also chew on it. The drop cloth is pretty sturdy and if it’s laid tight under the xpen, it’s pretty difficult for them to grab hold of to chew on. And it can be thrown in the washer. I don’t know how much the foam is either. I think different things could work for different people!
lindsay toups i was just giving a second option. I put the puzzle rug down, covered it with a shower curtain, then with a bedsheet. He also has small blankets around his x pen and a grass mat. So far, he doesn’t chew anything but his toys. But we’ll see once I let him out now that he’s healed from his neutering. My x pen is a bit flimsy for the canvas.
OMG - this SO upset me! SO many people don't understand their bunny's needs. PLEASE PLEASE pay attention and make the changes so your bunny can be happy and healthy! They will LOVE you for it!
I am so glad I found your channel. My daughter and I are looking into getting a rescue bunny and knew nothing outside of their diet. I love how you advocate free roaming. I am now looking into if we could our rabbit this kind of set up, and if not,it wouldn't be fair to the bunny.
@@izzy_6996 we did rescue a bunny! free roaming was okay but she wasnt fully litter trained and had a few too many accidents. we converted our storage room into her home base but let her out everyday for supervised free roaming and outside time.
20:12 this is what my rabbit setup looked like before I discovered your channel. I have a dog so unfortunately I’m not able to free-roam him On the plus side, my dad built him a cage and then I added an x-pen to the cage where he has a litter box, toys, and plenty of space to roam
I am sooooooo glad I found you!!! I am gonna get a rabbit soon and without your advices I am sure I would do everything wrong because of the advices pet shops give!!! I am looking forward to embrace my bunny to my room and my life and I want to do everything right!!! Thank you so much I don’t really have enough words to thank you! Remember you are beautiful and worth it and reward yourself for the inspiration you give! I hope your bunny is healthy and happy!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

@@mattfinch9917 Lol, my buns never even tried to touch a cable or plug, my cats on the other side.. Should people put cats in cages then?😂 If you make your house animal proof it's safe enough.
@@sanne764 not every rabbits are the same but I get what you're saying. My bunny tries sometimes to go and smell a cable, but she's young and I am educating her to not do that so she doesn't get too much interest. And she understands pretty fast. But for one of my two cats... She destroyed 2 phone chargers, 2 ear plugs and one speaker cable. -__- Like how comes the bunny understands more than her ? 😂😂😂
The fact that Lorelei said that horses need to graze all day at 10:00 is amazing! Most people don’t let horses graze all day and it’s rude cause they graze in the wild so they should have hay almost all day.
Correction, some horses need controlled grazing due to overeating which can lead to colic which is almost always fatal. One of my geldings needs to wear a “grazing muzzle” during part of the day in the summer because he gains weight so easily due to being an “easy keeper” my other gelding doesn’t gain weight as easily so can graze all the time (accept if he does start getting a little obese) Just a fun fact I guess.
Just just finished watching this video and my bun decided she wanted to plop herself on my lap... I'm now contractually obligated to stay until she decides to hop off. Oh boy, here we go again😅💕🐇
my rabbits chew fleece and sheets so for me it wouldn't work, however I got some extra-large dog whelp pads (birth pads) 2 of them are 6'x6' (each) so something like that, that is more "dense" would work too.
I actually really like the hutch setup. It is safe and predator proof for the most part, and even though the hutch is a little unnecessary I think it’s understandable that they might keep the bunny in it at night. I would give it an A but not an A+ because the foam puzzle pieces in the pen can sometimes be bad.
Aww my old bunny was called thumper. He died of old age after a brilliant ten years. He died whilst was cuddling him. Btw I may be clumsy but I DID NOT squeeze him to death
This channel makes me feel like I’m treating my bunnies bad, we just got them so their cage isn’t big enough for them, I hope soon we can expand their stuff soon!
Wow! This was really helpful! I'm now able to apply this to what I've set up so far! Thank you so much! 🙏❤ Also, I'm going to look up your video you suggested about how to set up an exercise pen! Thank you for mentioning it! 😘❤

suggestion: Make a good space(figure out a good place to out them), Put all cables up on a desk or bed, If you cant just but like a plastic straw!

Bullshit

Keira Baker WAIT WHAT YOU KILLED YOUR RABBIT?!
Wow, thanks for being a superhero 😊 you saved a rabbits life
Your a superhero well done!♡

If your parents don't allow your bunny to have free roam time and you don't have the space and or money to fulfill your bunnies needs then don't get one in my opinion. :/
Some people can’t have bunnies have free roam time for pet reasons.
Sometimes the kid might be like "I want a bunny!" thinking their parent(s) would do it right, then they just get a cage and the kid is like D:
In my opinion, either get a room for your bunny, or a mansion. I understand a small one but for me, spoil the heck out of your pets.
That simple, folks.
agree so freaking much. And people be like: "I don't have enough money to provide proper care", well that's fine so don't get one.
Anyways, my point is that I absolutely agree with you
When i was younger i wanted a lizzard, my dad made me research and made sure i knew what i was getting into, then when we actually got the lizard my dad decided that the electricity bill was too high, so the lizzard could live with 8 hours of light, instead of the 12 i knew it needed! he wouldn't listen to me, and the lizard ended up getting sick and dying
i did my reseach, i knew what they needed, but i was unable to provide for my pet :(
You are SO very right!

How can people watch this channel and think their tiny cages are okay ...

I’m 17 about to move into my boyfriends dads with my boyfriend and he openly said hazel(my rabbit/lion lop breed) can have the spare room and I am so excited. She finally gets to have the space she deserves. I can’t take back the last 2 years she’s had to spend in an outdoor hutch but I can sure as hell make sure the rest of her life is amazing. It’s never too late to transform your bunnies life
My hamster has a bigger cage than most of those rabbit cages and my rabbit is free roaming in my room
Thats amazing!!
yeah some of the bigger cages they sell for rabbits are a good size for dwarf hamsters but those cages wouldnt even begin to cut it for a bunny. i get rabbit cages that are like 4ft by 1.5ft and put mesh around the outside and fill the bottom dish pan thing with nothing but bedding. if you are doing this get the ones that meet the size i recommended or bigger

How does her caring about them having a proper living space mean she loves them 'too much'??
@@Ittybitty43 ofc giving your animal enough space is important. My point is she is TOO sensitive with animals. One time she couldn't take a harmless joke video, where someone put a brown bunny into the oven (not on obv) and then the video cut to the next clip where they take out a black bunny. As it if was baked, but in reality they didn't hurt the bunnies. She basically got super mad at the harmless clever joke and called it unfunny. Bruh, they didn't actually cook the rabbits. Wtf

@Mouse Lover I’m not getting upset, It’s my assumption and my opinion that I think it isn’t theirs.
@@hrbdvzvzzge really? My bunny will not get off my bed
my rabbit went from being stuck in an XL barred dog cage with a tiny purple hay rack and catlitter in a corner litterbox drinking out of a water bottle, quite genuinely neglected (like literally neglect), never let out of her cage, was attacked by our ferrets twice, out of water a lot of the time (surprisingly we managed to give her greens almost every day, but literally nothing else)
to not being caged for a year already, lives in my room with a cat water dish, a big litter box and a lot of hay, sleeping in a bed-- she hates my bed to be honest, i wish she snuggled more but you can only ask for so much amiright
she went from being traumatized and neglected, possibly needing vet assistance from the time she suffered the first ferret attack to literally owning my room (haha im not complaining)
i was trying to get her rehomed since my parents and siblings didn't want to do anything for her, and i was already taking care of the ferrets but we made it work, and now i'm taking care of the rabbit all the time and i'm not getting bored of it :) it's thanks to everyone around me when i reached out for help. i will never forget the day(s) i cleaned up my room and switched from taking care of the ferrets to taking care of the bunny. she was much happier even on the first night- at first i kept her in a cage at night but i decided i'd rather not have to chase her back in, being prey animal and all. i can't thank the rabbit community enough :) even better, i plan to get rabbits in the future and have them free-roam, a much better life than what my first bunny will live.

4:34 “my rabbits habitat” I full on screamed “ITS A RABITAT”
Popcorn Duck Ahh that’s awesome!
Love seeing all the different kinds of setups out there in the bun community! ☺️🐰💕
It’s perfectly fine to have rabbits outside, absolutely love this set up and would much rather have my boys in this than inside (also from the uk)
Your set up is great I'm a little iffy on her opinions on outdoor rabbits
Emma Daggett Thank you!! 💖
Help, my friend has a bunny with a waterbottle, hamster cage, no greens, just pellets, and a corner litter box plus she almost never lets him out.
I would try to get her rabbit products

I wouldnt have my bunny in any of these
My bunny has lived outside for 7 years now and he’s doing great so I think it is fine having your rabbit outside.
I agree I had an outdoors rabbit abt 5 years ago and he was doing great now I have an indoors and I think it’s equal

@@oli7085 They really dont. Yall just over doing it with the cage. Guineapig been alive 6 years now with that same cage. No problem!
@@jaylovesjesusamen4390 maybe not a problem for you but probably a problem for your guinea. having too small of a cage can and will cause your pet stress. thats a fact. despite it having "no problem" from what you observed its most likely not "no problem" from the guinea pigs perspective. and hamsters. if you have ever owned and taken proper care of hamsters you would know that hamsters need long cages so they can run. hamsters run roughly 5.6 miles a night so they are going to need a much larger cage than that. once again the hamster could have looked okay but wasnt. im sorry if im being harsh but these things are important to me.

lindsay toups or you could buy puzzle rugs like the kind you see in a children’s playroom and cover it with a bedsheet.
I wish you the best of luck! 🖤

You are a good owner.
The fact that Lorelei said that horses need to graze all day at 10:00 is amazing! Most people don’t let horses graze all day and it’s rude cause they graze in the wild so they should have hay almost all day.
Our horse doesn’t get stabled he gets rugged but he stays outside eating all the time
Correction, some horses need controlled grazing due to overeating which can lead to colic which is almost always fatal. One of my geldings needs to wear a “grazing muzzle” during part of the day in the summer because he gains weight so easily due to being an “easy keeper” my other gelding doesn’t gain weight as easily so can graze all the time (accept if he does start getting a little obese) Just a fun fact I guess.

I actually really like the hutch setup. It is safe and predator proof for the most part, and even though the hutch is a little unnecessary I think it’s understandable that they might keep the bunny in it at night.
