I remember taking my truck on the Superferry to Oahu and greeting Jaime Mitchell when he won his 10th consecutive M2O...prone paddling (no foil) 4 hours 40 min. How many times have you finished, Kai? You may have been there on a SUP that year as well?

Amazing to SUP foil 32 miles from Maui to Oahu. By coincidence my Twitter X feed gave "non aesthetic things" gave "Why speeding in a car doesn't save time" or at least not as much as you might imagine. Online calculator ,"How Long Does it Take to Drive 20 Miles at 70 MPH?" also shows that driving 20 miles to the beach on a freeway at 60 mph will take 20 minutes whereas driving at 70 mph will take 17 minutes. So if it is just a freeride session it's hardly worth the extra fuel to get there 3 minutes sooner. Even 56 mph will only take 21 minutes. Hard to believe but maybe worth remembering when you're fuming stuck behind a slow car. Mind you someone driving 45 mph in a 60 mph for no apparent reason, that really gets on my wick. That would take 26 minutes to drive the 20 miles so a whole 6 minutes less water time.
