this is my absolute favorite song of hers. i’ve been bawling listening to it nonstop today. here it sounds amazing, i love cecile’s vocals on the original track but w/o them you can hear a layer of beauty and nuance in the background. she was beyond talented.
Sophie was such a kind soul and a pinnacle of hyperpop music. truly inspiring even after her passing. She'll live on through us through all of our music she inspired us to make.
Some of the instrumentals leaked recently, it’s okay to cry, Ponyboy, infatuation, Whole new world & is it cold in the water, all leaked. The pretend World part of whole new world has some vocals on it, but it’s pretty much instrumental already. Pretending is pretty much instrumental & that leaves not okay, but tbh it’s mostly just vocals on a simple instrumental, I don’t really see an instrumental getting leaked for it unless it’s some of the remixes. This pretty much leaves Faceshopping, I know the yeah right instrumental demo is the most close thing to it, but I do feel like maybe the VIP/Squeeze/Money demo will leak soon, I know that was the very first demo of it. Some of the remix album has some songs that are actually old demos with added vocals in them. Pretend World (shop front), I believe could have been apart of Faceshopping originally, it was played live before the album was released & the Lipstick gel mix was also played live a lot so any of those mixes could have been the original instrumental, I think she kept changing it & I think that’s what’s happening with the new album, I think it’s going to completely change in sound.

Esta canción me recuerdo a momentos muy duros de mi vida hace un par de años, lleno de vacío interno, la escuchaba en la madrugada, a veces drogado y me sentía en otra dimensión, sin siquiera saberlo Sophie me estaba ayudando con su album, ahora que no está en este plano tiene más significado esta canción para mí y es un poco inevitable llorar, qué gran pérdida y que triste que se le tome en cuenta ahora que falleció. Omg I didn't know that track already existed in 2016. I thought it was created for OOEPUI. One of her best songs ever. We miss you Sophie.
Albums can take several years to piece together, the idea that an album is done within an entire year is totally unrealistic lol
