What a great video! Thank you for taking us all along! It's been 2 decades since I was in that part of the country but these stops are now most definitely on my 'LIST'! And Hella-bored... too funny! Never heard that!
You're right, John Muir did go to the University of Wisconsin. We just got back from Yosemite and learned all about him. I planted cosmos for the first time and they are blooming like crazy, absolutely love them!!!
Morning your garden is beautiful I garden for butterflies here in ft Lauderdale your lucky it's raining alot up in Chicago it's so dry here so far this spring.
Ohhh this is so timely! I was just thinking of taking the drive out to the Japanese Gardens in Rockford myself, so glad to see a glimpse of it. Looks like its definitely worth the drive. How was the restaurant there?
Recently found your channel & been binge watching. Absolutely love what you're doing. I do have one odd curious question. I noticed one of your inside tours you had a couple horseshoes sitting around. I do that also. Just because. Any significance for you?
Oh what a fun weekend! I love seeing all the beautiful gardens - thank you for sharing!
Of course! It was such a fun weekend.
Beautiful garden tours. Can’t wait to see what you were able to find. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you!! I’m planting everything I got in the next video!

I haven’t made it to Yosemite yet but it’s on my list! Which variety of cosmos did you plant?

The restaurant was delicious! I got the lettuce wraps and loved them.
I'm still amazed that your Holly didn't survive. I have always thought they were very cold hardy.
I think it was root rot from the rain bc they survived winter fine and the buds were swelling but they just started dying last month 😫
Beautiful Gardens!!! Do you had a video of your shelf grow light set up? Where you get the grow lights that on the shelving unit? Thank you
I do! th-cam.com/video/vX_MAaW5VYA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=veOvjCOrLcRzPE39

Thank you so much! The horseshoes were actually my stepmom’s who recently passed away. She had two horses so I keep them now as a reminder of her ❤️
@@ChicagoGardener I love that! Mine were just a couple of rusty old ones I found & placed by my terracotta pots.
