Great update. I'm off to check out the dahlia video on over wintering in pots. I pulled tubers and stored ---only 1 came back to life. It was my first time, so I guess that's part of the learning curve.
I admire your patience leaving things past their official prime for the beauty they still give. It kills me seeing gardens that get stripped when the first bud dies. The flower cart and bucket rack are great, but that big raised bed in the center still has a ton of productive beauty despite the whole zinnia/powdery mildew incident! I'm not nearly as crafty as you, but I look forward to your dried and pressed flower projects every year! So many flowers to add to your collection this winter in there. ...And the bottoms of those tomato cages scare me, too! I have a space out of the way where all mine get tossed into every year.
Wow, your garden still looks beautiful, lush and blooming. Perhaps your plants are loving this cooler weather. Thank you for sharing. It was very enjoyable with my cup of tea. 💙💚💛🧡❤️💜 Liz from California
Interesting to hear about how you handle watering plants overwintered in shelter! I’m in the western suburbs and it is crazy how relatively warm the weather has been this year. I still have some blooming Zinnia and marigolds, and my tomato plants still look pretty good and producing a few tomatoes; I don’t expect really much if any harvest any more, but I was just letting them go for a fun experiment. The tomato plants have now been in the ground for a full 6 months, a record.
Amazing what's still blooming in your garden. Yesterday we've had the first frost. The flowers are still blooming but the season for tomatoes 🍅 and peppers 🌶 is over. Greetings from Berlin 👩🌾
Do you get any wind damage on the plant leaves? Fascinating to hear you talk about cover crops and chop/drop in your containers - I thought that was for in-ground gardens only. Thanks for the info!
@3:58 That center bed of flowers is gorgeous
14:51 LOVED that impromptu pigeon parade!!! Omg! 😂🤣💕
They think they’re the stars of the show 🤣
Beautiful red brick walls, the plants look amazing Beautiful November garden
Thank you!!

The amount of times I’ve almost poked my eye out on the cages before I finally decided to find a solution 😆

Thank you!! I’ve never had a November garden this green and I’m definitely enjoying it.
Just found you in epicgardeners vid, I looove container gardening so looking forward to binging your vids! cheers 🌸
Its strange how you feel the summer energy fade away as fall rolls in! I don't have any fall hobbies 🤔
Now that it’s dark at 5pm I have to force myself to still be productive 😆

That’s incredible about your tomato plants!
Urban heating helps. Most of my stuff is dying off in Aurora. Looks great anyways.

I love the cat in your profile pic!
I love the top of storing pots on the cages
I just realized I could do that this year after almost poking my eye out 🤣
Look at the pigeon lol🐦
They love being on camera 😆
Always love your ideas, you’ve inspired me to start my own channel💚💚
That’s so exciting!!!! Let me know if you have any questions I can help with!

Sometimes on the taller plants, but any that are shorter than the wall are pretty protected from the wind!
Here for you…. But the pigeon keeps me coming back….
Next year…. Start a bird feed…. It is a double gift…, the bird and your cat enjoying from afar…..
I definitely should! It’s been hard to resist just moving them inside with me 🤣
Are there any fruit trees you grow?
Yes! I have two columnar apples, a mini peach, and a hardy fig
@@ChicagoGardener That's fantastic!
