I'll never forget the day before my grandma passed away when I was a kid, I found the SNES cartridge of this game under the couch and asked her can I have it and she says yes. Took the game to the crib with me, played it and it was a fun beat-em-up game for 2 people (or just one if I go solo). Thanks for letting me keep the game grandma. 💯✊🏾✌🏾 (1942-2013)
@@NintendoComplete Appreciate it, man, and yea that's my very first gem that's hidden under a piece of furniture. 💯 Still got the copy and played it to this day.
First level enemies: Type 1: Trench coat Mafia Type 2: all those clones of Dave Chappelle we hear about in the comments section. Type 3: French College students that got lost on their hiking trail, probably art majors. 2nd and 3rd level enemies: Indecisive hazmat Power Rangers.
My brother and I played this and I swear I put in a cheat on accident through pure button mashing & we beat the game with ghost rider killing everyone for us It was amazing
Maximum Carnage was a really fun game. This one felt as a pretty unimaginative follow up. It is not a bad game, but it doesn't have charm and it drags on. Not even the 2-Player co-op can save it.
WAIT WHAT?!!! I didn't know you could spin grabbed enemies. I knew about power hits, the Double Web Throw, and spin move. But spinning grabbed enemies was a surprise to me.
Rented this one back in the day. Beat it the same night and returned it the next morning. One of the few times I didn't have a late fee at Blockbuster Video.
I was so happy to beat this game... only to feel cheated by the still end screen. May as well said Game Over. The best part was Ghost Rider’s little theme. I’d play a remake if they took some time to craft a better narrative, like the comic panels in MC.
This game baffles me and always has. How is it that a sequel to a damn solid brawler, made by the same company and a lot of the same people, end up so much less fun and memorable than its predecessor? Music still ain't half bad, at least.
@@daniellap.stewart6839 Oh I agree, it's hardly a terrible game. I stuck with it long enough to beat it and didn't feel like I wasted my time in doing so. But yeah, there's definitely a reason I had enough practice to pull off a few 1CCs of Maximum Carnage but never put in the same effort with the follow-up.
After playing Maximum Carnage as nausem, I was hoping this game would’ve been a banger with the Two Player mode, but the game took a serious step back in terms of production. The one thing I liked about this game was the mid-90s Eurodisco theme song that reminded me of La Bouche.
This game be bring back memories I still have it when I first brought it I think it was at walmart or some video game store.? I had a blast playing it from the beginning to the end.
When I played through this game, I found Spider-Man's uppercut had less range than his other attacks, and would often get hit by enemies when it whiffed. I stuck to Venom, since that doesn't happen to me with him.
I grew up playing this Spidey game then my cousin had Maximum Carnage. I do like Maximum Carnage better than Separation Anxiety yet as far as boss battles go honestly Separation took the cake for having more range with boss battles and a variety of enemies. Maximum Carnage was more difficult since enemies were hitting like a truck. I still have to beat Separation Anxiety on hard difficulty. Separation Anxiety is more difficult to beat as Venom than it is with Spider-Man since you can get way more lives with Spider-Man. I still remember the passwords for the four levels too which is crazy and I haven't played this in years 🤣😆 awesome playthrough!
great game that gets overlooked cause its an easier reskinned version of maximum carnage with 2 player but still fun with some of best beat em up mechanics and soundtrack
Yep, rented the Sega Genesis version of this from Blockbuster back in the day and my brother and I were both taken aback at how cheap the A.I. was. I still remember the crazy blonde women boss but I'd completely forgotten about the hilarious green-thrust dude boss, lol. We used a massive cheats book published by Tom Russo of GamePro Magazine to skip around the levels because it was too hard otherwise to beat as a kid. I wonder if migrating the boring gameplay to see beat it now would be worth it. Kinda wanna do it.
This game was not as good as Maximum Carnage. The only saving grace this game had was 2 player co-op. Aside from that, the graphics were a downgrade, the music is not as catchy and it has no actual cutscenes to flush out a good story (it's just a wall of text). 🙄
I’m trying to watch this and keep getting distracted by other better things I’m not sure if anyone else has had this the same things happen to them but this was just no fun

:) That's such a random thing to find under someone's couch! I'm sorry about your grandma.

Sure sounds like a swell gal... May she rest in peace. 🙏🏽
@@AlexKaneROTN I appreciate it my guy. 💯✌🏾✊🏾
God bless her 😢💐🕊️
Man, after all these years that title screen music is still hot fire.
I just watched a play through of Maximum Carnage, and I think this game has the better soundtrack as a whole.
@@ShinigamiSparda Tell me about it XDXDXDXDXD
The dance at the begining lol

4:26 at first i thought you were trolling when you dance...

TBH I never really completely understood the angle.
You had to read the comics to fully understand this game, it’s based off the 6 comic issues of lethal protector. Check it out, it gets really deep.
Agreed.
SA might be a copy and paste game to MC, but you must admit, this version has a better soundtrack...lol
WAIT WHAT?!!! I didn't know you could spin grabbed enemies. I knew about power hits, the Double Web Throw, and spin move. But spinning grabbed enemies was a surprise to me.
Separation Anxiety was a pretty weak effort after Maximum Carnage. Sorry Spidey, but I'm not getting any tingles from this one.
And all you get for ending it is GAME COMPLETE. How fitting!
@@Invidente7 Right? That ending sucked so hard, if you can even call it an ending.
@@NintendoComplete Totally lame.
@@NintendoComplete Spidey would probably agree. Lol

It looks terrible.
It is $30 and I'm not buying it.
At least you got to beat the game. Me and my bro would only get so far and we never knew how to bring out the support heroes
The main thing missing is the comic book designs for this game, like in Maximum Carnage.

27:38, 27:51, 41:27 O_O How to use this special attack?
After you have the enemy up, quickly press A and B and then Y
That little Spider Dance was a nice touch. 4:27 😂😂🤣🤣
This looks like the Rough draft of Maximum Carnage.
It was the first of the Spidey Cash-grabs
Well said & accurate
It seems like they realized that they made a genuinely good fun game when they did máximum carnage so they "rectified" it with separation anxiety.
Separation Anxiety! What a name for a game. A friend of mine thought it was like some therapy game when he first heard the name of it LOL.
your friend tarded?
It was very nice of Daredevil to defeat Carnage for Spiderman.
How did this game come out AFTER Maximum Carnage and look so bad?
One thing is for sure, Separation Anxiety and Maximum Carnage are not the same game.
Awesome game brings back memories

What a bully... I was just one of those reggae guys taking a stroll around the neighborhood when spidey grabbed me and knocked me out.

Put up your enemy, A & B quickly and after Y
Also works for Maximum Carnage

Great combo, because he hit 2 enemies together twice in a row.

This is MUCH more like the game LJN wanted to release rather than Maximum Carnage.
Double web pull-in is a good move now one of my favorites.😡😡
Carnage character models looked better. Spider man looks like play doh and has some weird stances what were they thinking
Lmao he really does look like play doh, never thought about that until watching this now.

Somebody should do a rom hack of Maximum Carnage with 2-player support.
I’d like to see someone do a playthrough without using superhero icons. Maybe even on hard mode.
Spider man in snes is awesome, could be make a longplay from spider man ps1???

As bad as the ending is at least it does not take 3 hours to reach like The Tick (same developer as this game).
