With him, TF141 ended, leaving only a bunch of discredited soldier alone to fight.
From my imagination rook just gets hearted in his left arm and soap kills those enemies and replace rook and drive car himself and they fix his wound. Sad that task force 142 ended 😔

The dialogue between Price and Makarov is absolutely perfect. Price is able to poke and prod at Makarov and Makarov knows its in his best interest not to give Price anything. But Price knows him too well and can with just words get under his skin to make him talk. And not just talk either but also convince Makarov that he needs Price as much as Price needs him. Again just beautiful

Dragon Actual: That’s a detail that really bug me in the Original, how the hell did the car stopped if the leg of Rook’s corps was still on the accelerator, I’ve always thought Soap use his own leg to kick Rook’s leg from the accelerator the second they enter the Cargo Bay of the plane. The other detail I like that this time it was a ruff entrance even accidentally breaking the Cargo Bay’s latter to the copilot, unlike the unconventional smooth entrance of the original. Say what you want about the remaster but it has everything I wanted from the Original MW2.

This is the best ever.. honestly they could have finished the game with Roach and Ghost but it’s what was needed for the story. The intros, the music, the characters, the story it is why it was one one the best Call of Duty Games ever.
I'm confused, People are saying that the voice actors changed or they re-done these voice lines but it's been so long since I've played MW2 I'm quite unsure, can anyone clarify on this?
Several of the extras have new voice actors, many additional lines were added in, and the game used lines from the original game that didn't make it in or placed greater emphasis on lines that were formerly in the background. I can't actually verify this as the voice cast was not credited for this project.
Marshall Thompson That’s correct. There are plenty of voicelines in MW2 that never made it to the game and MW2R finally added them in. For example; in just like old times, starting at the scene where Shadow Company is able to breach their steam room, you can hear voicelines that the original MW2 didn’t use and were in the game files.
Pretty sure it's just better mastering. There are definitely some additions in certain missions. The DC sequence is one that comes to mind. Of Their Own Accord has many new added lines to add to the drama and well, flesh out the evacuation efforts of the US Military in DC. I haven't gone through every single mission but when I watched it, I was definitely impressed with everything during that mission. For me, and this is just my opinion. The sequence of missions in DC beginning with Of Their Own Accord, moving to Second Sun, and ending with Whiskey Hotel is undoubtedly the best in all of COD.
One thing I know for sure, the voice actor for Nikolai is not the original one but rather the one from 2019. Not that I have a problem with that he's also really decent.
if Rook wasn't a badass when it came to driving, Soap and Price would've both died. So that means MW3 would've never happened, Shepard would still be alive, Makarov would still be alive, and many bad things Show Rook some respect.
Foreshadowing from the developers, sure, but storyline wise? I feel like Makarov was just telling Price that the saying cuts both ways in this situation. I don't think Makarov knew Yuri was going to work with 141.

As a longtime halo fan from back in the day many of us were split down the middle about Cod v Halo in highschool. I put it all behind me and played MW1 and MW2. I have to say, the way this campaign makes you feel when you play it UNINTERRUPTED from start to finish is incredible. I wish activision et al. would try to recapture what was done for the original MW games but we know that won't happen. This mission in particular is beautiful in that it is solemn and bitter sweet on the background of losing ghost and roach + Rook

Very cool aspect of the story of how Nikolai stays loyal the entire time. Even when Price thought they would end up dying he was always there.
if Rook wasn't a badass when it came to driving, Soap and Price would've both died. So that means MW3 would've never happened, Shepard would still be alive, Makarov would still be alive, and many bad things

Foreshadowing from the developers, sure, but storyline wise? I feel like Makarov was just telling Price that the saying cuts both ways in this situation. I don't think Makarov knew Yuri was going to work with 141.
I like how they added Soap frantically pulling the brakes after the jeep gets onto Nikolai's plane

Honestly one of my favorite missions in the modern warfare trilogy. I love that its not one side shooting your way but 3 sides fighting each other.

I always liked the idea of rivals turned allies even for just a few moments, says a lot about people who are willing to look past old hates to achieve their goals.

Seeing that Status KIA in Roach's name hurts a lot, but knowing that you are about to take control of Soap again fills you with determination.

The music really got me in this mission, you can feel the sense of betrayal and loss of unity in it....

Six task force 141 characters that weren’t side characters because they were in multiple missions and helped out. And in this one rip Rook. This elite force was literally taken out by Shepherd. 🤦🏽♂️

His fault for being a driver for the 141. We saw how well that worked out for Merlin in takedown
As a longtime halo fan from back in the day many of us were split down the middle about Cod v Halo in highschool. I put it all behind me and played MW1 and MW2. I have to say, the way this campaign makes you feel when you play it UNINTERRUPTED from start to finish is incredible. I wish activision et al. would try to recapture what was done for the original MW games but we know that won't happen.
This mission in particular is beautiful in that it is solemn and bitter sweet on the background of losing ghost and roach + Rook
