- I took some time to explore the new Harbour City Shopping Center Montego Bay- Jamaica.
It is a new shopping complex located in downtown Montego Bay, with a modern design, great public spaces and of course, shopping.
Although most of the shops are not yet opened, you can still go and experience it.

Totally agree with you..please jamaica dont go to far... as joni mitchell sang they tear down paradise and put up parking lots or anything that will take away from the natural beauty of the island.

Unfortunately the LCH developers didn't install escalators for the relatively disabled...
I think the government is going to build a coastline promenade from Freeport to Dead-end Beach..so they say...
Thee are a few elevators so hop ethat helps, and that coastline promemade sounds intersting!

Love that underground parking are now made to accomadate. Hard to visit a nice place, where there’s no parking!
That parking is actually not undergounf but above, but yes, it's good to have easy parking.

Where's the naysayers who are complaining about the Chinese investing in Jamaica. The drax hall development should be starting soon also. They just completed the Chinese mall in Portmore Pines area, which is wonder to see... 👏 👏 👏
What's your opinion on the pinnacle development in Montego Bay?
Interesting question, again, development is good but a structure like that is surely for those that have, and nothing is inherently wrong with it. But it can display a bigger divide between the haves and have not. And it will encourage simialr high price development around it further pushing pricing for land and housing up and out of reach for those that cannot afford. Double edge sword.
@@YohanPartap Got you, just wanted to get your opinion. I still think the government needs to redevelop and clean up downtown Montego Bay and build more low-income housing.

Thanks for watching, I actually do think Port-of-Spain might be to developed, development is not just nice buildings and places to shop. It great that this type of stuff is happening but hope it is not at cost of pushing nature aside and providing real services for the population.

@YohanPartap You can have a thriving modern metropolis without compromising nature. Cities such as Vancouver BC and Singapore have proven that. Take a look at Stanley Park in Vancouver. I've lived in both Vancouver and different parts of Jamaica. If Jamaica was your house, you would want nice furniture in it.

😂no Jamaica is more develope that Montego bay. Kingston is develope more than port of Spain. Jamaica has better infrastructure than Trinidad meaning better houses. And I been to both countries.lovetrinidad and Jamaica
