Great update to your change out Chris! My FJ Cruiser went through a similar seasonal change-up last week after our last week long beach camping trip. GAW I find the restructuring therapeutic before I head back out to work in the oil patch. Keep em coming señor!!!

Up here in northern Minnesota, winter is always the first thing I think of when prepping. staying warm is your number one concern. -40 is common with the wind.

I am always trying to improve my family vehicles and think a modular approach similar to your duffle bags is a easy effective way to go. My family just moved to the Columbus area and I am now in the process of setting up new sop,s in the new house. Really enjoy your channel. Gaw

This was such a great video that I had to view it again & even saved it! It exceeds a level of preparedness many of us do not even have. I applied your layers to my coupe and am really surprised as to how much could fit in it, & still seat 4 & get groceries! You're absolutely right each of us have unique situations/needs. Therefore we have to make our own choices/solutions. Great job staying on Task and filming throughout the background noise/distractions!

GAW, thank you for the time you take to make these. I have watch you for years and totally agree with your idea about your vehicle, I lived through the LA Riots, fires, floods etc. I am no further than a parking lot away from my truck at anyone time. Keep the positive attitude and fun nature and don't let the trolls get ya.

Nice timing on this. I just repacked my car gear yesterday and included more cold-weather stuff. My Guide Gear -15 sleeping bag should arrive in a couple of days and will go in the car too. The GAW is a nice little addition to the video.

I like your thinking and items I try harder in colder weather boost gear in the vehicle as we sometimes have trip over 100 mile on roads less traveled we had a incident in 2002 we hit a deer in a blizzard later afternoon that disabled our vehicle it was over 3 hours before someone else come by we had some items but not really enough if it had been longer.
This the real beginning for being more prepared minded GAW

Thanks for sharing another great video. I was able to extrapolate some good ideas into my vehicle emergency supplies. I also added a small vehicle repair kit which includes fuses, hose repair, belt repair, fluid replacements, and a few other items that are compatible with my make and model of vehicle. GAW.

Seeing how much cold gear you have makes me appreciate Florida even more despite that we might have a GAW-ful hurricane coming. I like the fact you can store food in your vehicle which isn't practical most of the year here, that stated, there needs to be a way to store items in a truck which protects from the heat and doesn't mildew. I'd like to see that topic covered sometime.

I love those lil zip firestarters. Don't break the packaging tho! I found out that they either sublimated (solid to gas) or evaporated the flammable liquid inside (they stink when you open em). I'm sticking with coghlan's cheap dollar store fuel tabs for that reason! Cheers! Great vehicle kit! More than enough! Mine is 90% focused on hypothermia from this time of year to next April! I'm in the same mind set when it comes to loading the vehicle..... I too have found the extras in the vehicle have been life savers or at least added creature comforts especially in the changing season. GAW.... Cant wait for the next vid!
Another great video Chris! GAW... I love the vehicle stuff because like you say, the vehicle is always nearby. Unfortunately, I live and work in an area where vehicle prowls are WAY too common! I've had my car broken into twice stealing my go bag both times... I need a vehicle that has the nifty compartments like yours!

I travel thru the week for work and pretty much live in hotels, watching your videos gives me more and more ideas on what to put in my truck to be better prepared incase something happens. keep up the good work Chris! GAW!

Had to change a blow out in -35 weather, with nothing but jeans a light winter coat and runners (no gloves) That won't be happening to me again. The day after that threw some winter boots, gloves, clothes in. Now I have more than just the basics. Sweet set up as always, Chris. GAW

I know everyone has something to add.....but.....The only thing I see lacking is the absence of communications equipment. Even something as simple has a handheld ham radio connected to a mag mount antenna would greatly add to the preparedness aspect of your vehicle. That's what I have in my car, as well has a full mobile unit in my truck - both with mag mount antennas. There are other options, including through-the-glass antennas that are pretty stealthy. Just a thought. Thanks for the video and GAW.
I use the backpacker mindset with my vehicle, small, lightweight gear lets me put more stuff in one bag, affording me more room in the vehicle. Also, using soft luggage lets me squash stuff down to make more room.

My bug out bag is my truck also. I keep stoves, fuel, lights, cookware set, some food, water, sleeping bag, all kinds of fire starters, knives, folding saw, small stool and table, tarp and a cheap movers blanket for extra warmth. Looks like I should throw in some extra clothes. Thanks. GAW!

Great video Chris, would love to see a video of what you pack for your kids and wife. I'm an oil field worker and I'm away from home alot, and of course shtf everytime I go to work. So I try to prepare my wife's car so she has everything she needs for her and the kids. Love the videos, keep up the good work! GAW
I love your videos Chris, very entertaining and full of interesting, useful information, dry humour, lawnmowers, noisy birds, background traffic, thunder and heavy rain on occasion. It all makes for atmospheric free sound effects backdrop, I've watched several of your videos when you have been trying to communicate a point about a product when one of these noises have been increasing in the background. It just cracks me up!! Great stuff though and love your channel bud. GAW

Great video. one thing I have added to every car I've owned in the past 20 years is having a small lock box built into my car. Someplace that I can lock a handgun or other valuable if need be. GAW

When I lived in San Diego, California, there was a truckers strike and the Grocery stores emptied out in three days. There was dog food and gallen jugs of water left in the store, AND, any one driving truck was being shot. Another time, up here in northern Utah there was a truckers strike and those guys left driving were being shot at, yes, with guns. One, in my little town, ended up in the hospital with a 22 round in him. Sometimes the least obvious systems break down, as in union strikes, can create an EMERGENCY situation locally or nation wide. These were real situations. Something to take to heart and think about.
I like the fact you're still using some budget friendly bags and gear. I'm with you...happy it's hoodie weather GAW
Pretty balanced overall. I think some people confuse it with a on your back bug out bag which is not what this kit is trying to be. Nice video.
