Gyre is really good. She takes a bit of expensive mods to make AMAZING though, but aside from survivability she's great. She gives +Crit chance, has constant damage AOEs that can stun lock enemies, a Grouping ability that you can use to maximize your punch through/blast radius effects. On top of that, as long as her 3+4 are active she regens energy, so energy upkeep isn't much of an issue for her. So far she's my favorite Caster/Glass Cannon frame. I have to make special mod loadouts for my weapons though because I already have so much Ability Strength with my Gyre build that I Red Crit on every attack anyway; sometimes it takes a couple lightning procs to build up to it though. So I replace all Crit Chance mods with Raw Damage/Crit Damage mods. She has some fun Synergies too. Take for example Breach Surge. With Gyre's Cathode Grace, landing a Crit on an enemy will cause a lightning bolt to rain upon their head and chain to nearby enemies. The Sparks spawned from Breach Surge have 100% Crit Chance by default; so once a Surge Spark collides with an enemy's noggin, they get fried by the power of Zeus. If they survive the lightning bolt, then they'll take damage over time which will spawn more Sparks that fry more enemies as long as I keep them blinded by the Surge.
Yeah I always wondered what a melee based Gyre build would look like because I only just recently, after about a thousand hours on the game, started to enjoy melee builds (I never liked them, not just in warframe, in all games in general, not my cup of tea). Might play around with a few options now, since pillage is just my confortable play to stay alive but I can go other options since the armor rework, if I really still need an ability to survive I'll go condemn I guess. Thanks for the heads up mate, I'm probably going to test a few melees to see what I like, and here's your like also, never heard of you but good video and showcase !
I mean I'm still using your shield gating build with Novaumbral weapons builds xdd , thx for both of you I actually got her to lvl cap and I enjoy using her a lot
honestly you don't even need the 5 tauforged to make this setup work, it works fine with regular purple or, in my case, no purples, you just lean more into your weapons to tag enemies for rotorswell to kill
Does your 3 & 4 need to be recasted after getting full molt augment stacks ? I dont know if the strength is snapshotted on it before the arcane starts kicking in & you are continously refreshing its duration
Btw, you mentioned your gyre lvl cap video from around 9 months ago. That combo using guardian break and the shield recharge mods, does that actually work? I'm trying to replicate but can't make it work, wonder if I'm missing something 😅
Yea there is some misinformation floating around on that, but I tested it with her 1 and 4, with roar and without roar, and with roar with both abilities the initial electric hit AND then the proc that followed were both increased, roar definitely affects her abilities
Don’t waste your time been their done that 5 red Tauf for power is better with 280 ability Range will kill this build I’m killing easy at level 300… and barely need weapons people leave the match because I’m over kill… by the way I also have both power strength arcanes on as well best build hands down….
The 75% strength you get from the red tau shards is good, but it does not deal more damage than 5 violet tau on gyre, the violet bonus acts essentially like built in 75% viral for electric so it multiplies the damage your abilities do, so with the crit already multiplying the damage and then the built in "electric viral" also multiplies the damage, it FAR outperforms red tau's on gyre, its not even close, proccing viral on enemies with for example a primer/panzer or a robo dog for example, this gap becomes even greater

I did this a couple days ago. I can confirm it's so worth it.
It’s not that bad. Netracell drop chances are pretty high
