You want to know what makes it worse? These augmentation procedures have a failure rate and those failures end in either death or being crippled for life. So how does Snail beat the odds? All of those people who get sent to the re-education camps become guinea pigs. Only when the perfect method is found does Snail undergo augmentation. That means his superhuman status comes at the cost of a mountain of corpses.
@@GreyCaliberI think I might’ve heard that line (or a very similar one) in the ice worm mission if you don’t do enough damage to maximize the downed phase. It went something like- “I AM the Vespers! I AM Aquebes!”

The ones that you weren't able to trigger. I think it's when the two ACs damage or kill each others. Chances for that are as slim as winning the lottery though

You actually can! To get to Snail you are pretty much using the jailbreak route, but in reverse. You can go to where the Escape mission starts and you can spot the AC Walter left there if you look closely enough.
@@otamatonefan8996 if i remember correctly, in the jailbreak mission you can see another broken down BASHO frame so it might just be that one that you can find here.
I don't think it's there yet. Judging by the cutscene of you getting into the AC it seems both of you get captured and sent into slave labor, while there Walter finds a way to sneak the Basho parts into that sewer and after it's complete he sneaks you into it, and runs away before activating it remotely. Then after you escape Snail sends him to re-education as punishment and sticks him into HAL to fight for them.

Idk if it's Snail being an A-hole or he's serious when he says he feels nauseated. I'm wondering if Coral affects those that are Gen 7 or higher in more subtle ways compared to Gen 1-4? Again I'm thinking it's just Snail being an A-hole, but it's a possibility.
I cheated on this fight. If you fire at them while still in that tunnel you can force Snail and Igunzia to fight you in that tight tunnel but if you leave the tunnel you cant go back in since it block by that red tape wall

Ayre was capable of jumping out this whole time (as proven if you choose to betray her), but actively chose to stay because, upon you taking her to see where her Coral family was going, she became extremely affectionate to 621. She absolutely would rather just leave than go to another augmented human as she leaves 621 in a potential betrayal; despite it hurting her to the point of crying. All Coral wave mutations have shown this behaviour, such as Seria with Dolmayan - leaving in the same manner as he wanted nothing more than her species to just be a temporary high. The intense ringing Iguazu hearing is 100% Ayre basically screaming at him or her just screaming in agony in general. You can infer this because if you die during any of the other fights around this time, Ayre will scream "Raven!..." because of said emotional attachment.
Minor thing, but if I remember right, if you kill Iguazu before snail starts talking about you being a gen 4, he leaves out the "And your not the only one" bit.
Pretty sure the one you couldn't get to trigger is when Iguazu is dead and snail's almost killed you or has killed you. I remember it triggering for me, though if it's not that, then idk
I did this fight recently and iguazu got royally fucked by snail almost the second he dropped down, lost half his health instantly and just got bullied into oblivion before i even needed to shoot him, then snail almost dod the same to me. Man was not messing around that time

Chances are it's Ayre in this one situation where she had no other choice but to try jumping to Iguazu. And if Ayre's voice and white noise is far louder than the Coral Flow, and yet it isn't enough to be harmful, but Iguazu gets intense headaches even from regular coral voices, then Ayre's voice, even if it was understandable by Iguazu too, it would be head-splittingly loud and piercing with magnitudes worse white noise.
Ambushing Snail by shooting him square in the chest with the Stun Needle feels like poetic justice.

I did have Snail get murdered by Iguazu, and it was the same, unfortunately. I assume its tied to repair kits and they toned down the fight.
