Fascinating discussion. Greetings from South America. Ditto here. Lots of what you discussed applies here too. Our religions were completely destroyed. At least you still have foundations to hold on to. Not here. Congratulations to all of you.

Aah, we're barely holding on. And to us, the civilisational victory has to spread across the globe to revive our dear Earth. Do not give up. Let the fire within light the hearts of those around you. So long as even one of us is still standing, nothing is lost. You're the living breathing beacon of your land and the old Gods will rise up stronger than ever.
      May victory be yours! ❤

Rohit arya you have hit the jackpot " r our gurus not worthy of respect anymore "
    Precisely
The reason could be our colonial mindset or the guru' s own lack of integrity . There is a need of gurus to introspect too .

I have listened to this interesting podcast. For bringing awareness amongst hindus children needs to be trained on their hindu heritage.A common minimum programme is to be designed for the children aged 8-14 years having 1.Gita reading, 2.basic asanas and pranayama.3Story telling from Ramayana , Mahabharata and Puranas, 4.participatory celebration of utsava. The esteemed speakers may give a thought.

Without a doubt Swami Vivekanand is one of the greatest soul ever who walked and taught religion to humans. It is really difficult to find a true spiritual guru who you can look upto, who has genuine knowledge and who will think you capable enough to understand it. I think the sad story about being a Hindu is that it took me 40 years to understand that I donot understand my religion at all as compared to friends from other religions. Sir, you should also talk about guidelines for people to follow who will love to evolve intellectually and spiritually. Studying in a Christian school, I really hated my religion when I was young. As i grew up, I realised what a wonderful religion I am born in. I am grateful to all of you for this discussion as I always wondered what made Swami Vivekananda so great.

I had a pretty rough breakup . I was in complete isolation feeling useless and afraid . I used to do sandhyavandhana and gayatri since i am 8 but during that time i was not even able to do gayatri . Then i came across the karmayoga of vivekananda when i went to ramakrishna mission . I read it and slowly i started feeling good then i started reading all works of vivekananda amd from tbem i entered into the path of spirituality amd got back my sanity . My understanding towards gita and life is quote enhanced after reading the books og vivekananda. The whole world particularly india is deeply indebted to ramakrishna paramahamsa and vivekananada . the lotus feet of sri ramakrishna, makes everyone free from the cycle of samsara..

I owe Swamji (1:04 ) a debt beyond words. As a young person I was questioning much about Hinduism. His writings helped me ground myself. In that I am grateful to RKM--because my connection with Swamiji began when at age 11 I started to participate in elocution contests. Some of the first words I memorised were paragraphs from his writing. RKM should continue their work with young students. I started reading the books that were given to me as 'prizes' for winning in the contest. Those pearls of this writing opened a new path for me. Pranam! And thanks to all of you for this beautiful conversation. Hardly have we the time to invest, but I listened intently over a number of days. Thanks

Extremely interesting question on the fame of Swami Vivekananda. From the responses, it seemed only Rajarshri touched on it a little.....the perspective of British in India was seen more as a rescue from Islam i.e., in general positive light. That could probably explain the unconscious level leaning/yearning to view English/British as not negative (at least compared to Islam) and more openness and positivity to learning English and presenting in English lands.
However, sadly one cannot deny that a weird precedence not only got set but pulled into a very wrong direction where somehow the liberal openness greatness got associated with English and English presentations and occidental perspectives. It would be interesting to see if ""fame - English - presentation in English land"" prior to Swami Vivekananda and after Swami Vivekananda would lead to explore this unconscious almost given local culture to associate anything good and great with English language and fame in English land to point of viewing local/native culture in an almost negative light.

Swami Vivekanand going to America/ West was a Divine mission for bringing India and America together in their spiritual and materialistic goals. Through Swami ji, India gave America, world's greatest spiritual teachings.... The huge Indian population going to America for education, jobs is taking from America...but century back India through Swami already gave US her spirituality.... which later Paramhansa Yogananda sealed it.

What I feel the soft approaches adopted by Swami Ji's like Swami Vivekanand and Yoganand etc caused certain damages to various upasana processes which are very foundations of Hinduism. We cannot scale down the importance of various sampradayas of worship as it is the basic kriya part. Great worshippers like Shri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, Lahiri Mahashaya did never scale down the processes of worship. Something to bridge the gap is to be adopted. P. S - this mentality mostly seen odisha and up, bihar people, again exception can be there.

@@themahakaal6682 lmao looks like you have failed in subjects like Maths, Geography , history and culture of India.Odisha is part of East India not North India ,it's culture is similar to Bengal and language is similar to that of Bengal and Assam . People of odisha are hard core non vegetarian. More than 95% of the people eat non veg there and they never opposed bali pratha in kalikula marg ofShakth parampara temples. They have got 64 yogini temple which is part of Shakti tantra parampara and these temples are rare in India. They have ancient time Bhairva temples. There are very few states in India where kalikula marg is still practiced and it includes Bengal, odisha,Assam, Kerala and few parts of Andhra Pradesh,so keep that in mind before commenting.I originally belong to odisha and I have been following Sri Guru Rohit Arya for Last 7years and Rajarshi Nandy for Last 4years, so I know what I am talking about. Actually I was one of those people who requested Ranveer to invite Rajarshi when nobody knew about him on beerbiceps even though it got only a few likes but I still asked , what is your contribution ? weakening Dharma in the name of regionalism?Whoever is reading my comment or will read in future, please get over this sectarianism ( let people follow what they want) and regionalism . Even Rajarshi Nandy doesn't like this kind of attitude, if you follow him on Twitter you will know. This was and is one of the reasons for the downfall of Dharma in our country.

Any religion based on hatred con only end up learning that God is everywhere u just need to learn to look inside u outside u everything around u so no humans r any different. So..... Hindu religion shd b based on equality not on caste to downgrade people..... Religion is fine developing people's health, quality of life education and being productive is much more essential than spreading hatred........... Hinduism shd not stoop so low, thr r 140 cr of us let from tome give 200rs just 10kg/mth/person rice to all and meaningful ways for them to work and earn.. Even after education y do people have to rum to western societies y not provide meaningful jobs.... For eg 40 kg rice planted in. Acre has enough to feed 20 people a yr still v don't let people use that land as it is banks that own 70% of land on loans coz the can print toilet paper.... So give them that right to till every 20-40 yrs gp person shd b given 50cents ie half a acre let govt promise to buy 800kg so after what his family 400kg for his family n for next season n pay him meaningful wages say 2000rs per mth nd health n educate his children 2 nos till 12 th.... ie let him keep 400kg for 4 people in his family rest that he can provide for 10 people.in the society .... Doesn't matter which 10 people eventually society will benefit stupid mantras will mislead anyone w useless life ... And if ur interested in engligtment just msg ur no I can get u thr in 1 week but u shd b ready to face the consequences coz u wd loose ur ego nd ur hatred
