Such beautiful birds. My family had 2 hyacinth. Not at one time though. Merlin was our first one. He was so gentle and had such a great temperament. The very first time we met he honked at me and stepped right up. Then he wanted head scritches and put his beak very gently around my thumb so I couldn't get away. I had a great time with him. You two look very spoiled . That's a good thing

The video is misleading. The man on the video kept those poor macaws in an unsanitary enclosure. He was fined and arrested a couple of months ago.

@@LordCrazyMaul In the wild yes, but since pet Hyacinth Macaws are captive bred, keeping them as pets has no negative impact on the wild populations (which primary problems nowadays are related to destruction of their habitat).
