Hi, you video is very good. I was wondering. If you could tell me for river fishing in the Liffey and the rye what size rod would you say I was using an 8ft rod starter rod 7/8 line have hooked plenty of small not too many big ones. What would you recommended. I was looking at flextex rods and airflow. I'm on a budget for the moment. Cheers Eddie.
I bought a new fly rod i just didn't get out to use it yet, plus i want to fish on a nice strech of the liffey which is run by a club and safe to fish you know the score...
Eddie Lloyd ya there's tons of safe stretches along it I'd pick the one closest to you for convenience but upstream the liffey has some brilliant trout and flywater
Its so complicated to know which fly to fish on the liffey. Is there a book or web site that I can find about fishing on Irish rivers

Eddie Lloyd Shakespeare have brilliant rods at the moment at a brilliant price, for the Liffey I'd say you want a 8 to 9 ft 4 weight
