Thank you, I'm hoping the season starts soon, last year we were well into June before the level dropped.

Thanks for posting! I just got back from trying - nothing but was pleased to have been out there.

It’s going to be a labour of love for a while I think until the river is able to wake up properly. Thanks for watching

It's been slim pickings so far Paul hasn't it, but it's dry this week and hopefully the levels will drop and we will start to see some Mayfly soon and plenty of rising trout👍

Thanks Chris. Even the small stream I walk my dog along hasn’t shown a trout rising and that is usually a week or two ahead of the River Exe. Hopefully this week will be kind to the river. Thanks for watching! 🙏

hi Paul, sunday i met a chum fishing my river but I was just saying hi however he did catch a 4lb brown, fab looking fish and the biggest I have evr known caught there, I was better today so went to fish and had 2.5 lb one on big jingler, levels just dropped to low in a few days and fly life went into overdrive. Thanks for another nice video.

I've got my fingers crossed that this weekend the river will be at a more fishable level but the Exe takes a while being a spate river. A 4lb or a 2.5lb brownie on my beats would be unimaginable! Thanks for watching

Good to see you out. We haven’t seen Loxton. Is he ok ?

He is doing great but useless with fly fishing. Typical labrador that wants to chase anything the moves in the air and be constanlty in the river, not ideal for fly fishing! Thanks for asking

Hi Martin, thanks for watching. I use an elk hair caddis. I’ll show it the next time I use it
