Enjoying your shows on how these ACC schools would fit in the Big 12. Could you also look at Duke and G.T.?

Big 12 will either get Miami or USF is my guess. What’s interesting is that there is a good possibility that both the Big 12 and B1G will have 2 brands in Florida and the SEC only has one.

The big 12 wouldn't accept USF because they don't get more money because of the the new tv contract it requires adding a p4 team for more money

The SEC wouldn't allow Miami to join cause Florida will make sure they don't join

@@juliansmith1951 If we had used the same logic a few years ago, then Texas wouldn't have been added to the SEC over NIL aTm's objections (which kind of tells you how much pull exists in College Station).

If the ACC implodes and Miami becomes available, I think the Hurricanes would be a good fit for three reasons: (1) recent history notwithstanding, Miami does have a decent football history with some national championships and would be at least a "brand" name for the league - not to the extent of Texas and Oklahoma, but still, at least they have more of a recognizable brand compared to Pitt and Louisville; (2) you're giving UCF a "travel partner" and a regional rival in the state of Florida; and (3) last time I checked, South Florida is a massive media market (Miami-Fort Lauderdale-Palm Beach) with a lot of talent coming from that part of the state. I'm not saying that it will happen, I'd agree that FSU and Clemson, plus UNC-Chapel Hill, are the three big prizes from the ACC, with Miami in "Tier 2" in the overall pecking order.

Miami and TCU would emerge as rivals...
    1. Both private schools (2 of the 18 in FBS).
    2. Both are Top 4 FBS private school programs (along with ND and USC).
    3. Both are located in large metro areas, in rich recruiting territories/regions/states.
    4. Both are Elite 11 schools, having won 5 of the 6 BCS/NY6 bowls. (No school has 6 of 6)

Miami is an easy win on anyone's schedule.

There's just simply no chance Miami stays in the ACC long-term after FSU and Clemson leave. And the window gets considerably smaller when UNC leaves. People say the ACC will backfill, but they alreasy did. On top of that. When FSU and Clemson leave, the ACC will take a CFP payout hit. And everyone else will demand more. Not only that, Miami isn't playing SMU and Cal for the next 20 years just to keep the ACC alive. And sit by watching FSU, UCF, and Florida not only pass you. But create a canyon between them. What no FSU, Clemson, and UNC that CFP percentage drops to 12% or worse. On what planet does the University of Miami sit around for that to play SMU? Man, Notre Dame screwed the ACC yet again.

West Virginia to the ACC is more likely than Miami to the Big 12.

IMO Miami will not join the B12 unless ACC implodes and they can’t find a P2 home.

Miami would not leave the ACC for the Big 12. It makes zero sense. If Miami leaves the ACC, it will be because they get into the power 2
