I used this last night when I had to change the headlight bulb in a dark spot and didn't have my service manual with me. Knowing how many screws were involved instead of having to fumble around blindly like an idiot was helpful. I never would have found the two on the bottom of the housing in the dark otherwise. Thanks for showing that in the video. It saved me a ton of time.
Is the oem bulb a h4 bulb? Like the tundra has? My tundra has h4 bulbs and I converted them to led’s and kept my originals would that same h4 fit in my 2007 v star 1300?
You put the boot on wrong. I just bought an LED kit, similar to yours and these bulbs have two small screws under the metal ring with three prongs. This is supposed to be taken off so the boot can go on properly. The way you have it will cause the bulb to overheat and possibly allow water to come in. Just a heads up.
Jeffrey Martin I will check it, I need to pull the chrome piece where the key goes in and paint it to knock the sun glare down. I can use that time to recheck everything! Thanks
Nothing yet, and I have checked recently to make sure that I couldn't see anything that might have been getting hot/damaged. So far everything is working well to date!

@@itrestech421 so the boot DOES still get used? I'm thinking about buying this kit for myself.
Do you have a link of the bulb you used? I have a 2009 VStar that I'd love to replace with LED's!
Just picked up a v star 1300 same year. Do you have any other video's? Thanks for your help.
I have a few others on my channel. I could also look to join a vstar 1300 group on facebook (the are several)
Nice video. Thank you. By any chance do you still have it on and is it still as bright?
Robertson Madlangbayan I do and it still is!
Anthony's West Texas Rides thats good to know brother. I'm gonna get one soon and it's good that you also have the bike as I have. Ride safe
Any issues not having the rubber boot in place any more?

Cool. Thanks for posting the video, it was very helpful.
How did you get the Phillips screwdriver on the bottom off
Nice job! Is this the H4 9003-6000k?
Heber Lopez yes it is.
What does the "Can bus" adapter do? I just bought an H4 led bulb but it comes with the 3 prong plug but no box like yours.
It adjusts to your vehicle/bikes electrical system to keep a steady beam and can eliminate any code errors that is commonly found with HID kits.

Thanks for the reply. I'll try it and see what happens.
@@whileistillcan9338 did your bulb work, or did you have to get a can bus adapter?

Fluctuates a little at idle but not a big deal. Much better than stock.
