    Any and all sentences hyping up Nagash must be followed up by "Such is the power of Nagash."
    Such is the will of Nagash.

    Death needs more internal conflict but I'd say bring back Khalida for some extra beefy with Neffy or maybe even big ol' Settra, King of Kings, Lord of the Earth, Monarch of the Sky, Ruler of the Four Horizons, Mighty Lion of the Infinite Desert, Great- *continues on for an hour* -Eternal Sovereign of Khemri's Legions... Anyway... That guy. He has always made for an excellent foil to Nagash and deserves better.
    A death civil war would be great.
    Favourite current death character is easily Neffy. She's the OG vampire and a cunning and capable character with a rich history that oozes style.

      The only way Settra returns is as a direct rival to Nagash. His equal in power and influence, anything less is a insult to the Imperishable. Just have Nagash almost succeed again to suddenly be interrupted by shifting desert sands appearing out of no where mear moments before an army or demons flee in terror from a portal. Then an even bigger army of Egyptian styled constructs pour out of the warp as a golden bodied Settra marchs out to ruin Nagash's day.

    If any Mortarch would be motivated to rebel against Nagash, I think it would be Lady O. She was already being tortured by him before becoming a Mortarch, and her torture even continues after gaining that power. Despite being one of his "trusted" generals, Lady O is still cursed to feel the pain and sorrow of all dead. That SUCKS. I would love to see Lady O (and probably the other Mortarchs) rebel against Nagash.

    I personally like how unified death as a faction is. Death is unyielding to a point, there isn't supposed to be a choice in the matter. No matter how hard you fight it, you will succumb to death, even if you try to buy your way out of it with vampirism or necromancy etc. You still end up getting owned by death

    Honestly grand alliance death needs to do something with ghouls and needs a more technology faction as undead with guns is never an uncool Idea.

    19:06 Maybe they could reintroduce Settra to do this? I know that I'd love to see him come back. Maybe his faction would still hold the Tomb King aesthetic, but act as a sort of hybrid of Deathrattle and Ossiarchs? It'd be nice to see some Order-aligned undead. And the Tomb Kings of Fantasy were labeled as "unaligned." Meaning they could work with anyone. I'd love for them to be a sort of wildcard faction. Although I'd love to hear your take on this.

    What I find really interesting about the Mortarchs is that despite their hatred for the other mortarchs, they all seem to respect each other. For instance in one on the books, the head of the Rictus clan in Shyish, Von Drek speaks with Neferata who tells her about the other Mortarchs using Mannfred as an example. She goes on to say that all Mortarchs are a much needed cog in Nagash's great machine stating that while Mannfred is ambitious he directs his ambition to conquest in the name of Nagash and without Mannfred conquest would be difficult to achieve. I have to agree that Neferata is such a great character in the books. In the book I mentioned here, I as the reader felt tricked by Neferata and caught in her web along with the characters. The way they write her is very good. Although, if you play the AOS tabletop game, Mannfred is the most fun to play with. He plays exactly the same as he does in the books. His abilities in the tabletop allow you to move Mannfred into your opponents most vulnerable position and exploit it and if he gets surrounded, he can teleport out of there

    I miss you man! I understand that theres not much AoS lore these days, but if you'd like, you could start making videos about:
    1- Summary of AoS black library books, which would be very interesting
    2- Lore about 40k, i found quote difficoltà to find an explicative format of 40k lore that i like, in fact i believe theres not 1 lore maker for 40k that has a great format and all the information available, all of them has one or the other, neither has both. You should make videos in your format that is complete and well explained imo.

    Hear me out, a great way to flesh out death as a faction would be for them to break out of his control headed by Setra from warhammer fantasy at the head of a tomb kings style death faction, with the return of the Old World it would be a great opportunity for cross game models and bring back a beloved faction as a bit of a wildcard

    • @TheLordDarkmount
      @TheLordDarkmount ปีที่แล้ว

      Considering how Settr(a/us) was heavily implied to have been reborn as a stormcast eternal and to then have sacrificed himself, it would really be interesting to see how he'd get to lead an uprising within the Death ranks from there. Although, realistically, this is probably not a thing to happen any time soon. GW seems to have envisioned Ossiarchs as a replacement for Tomb Kings and so weren't going to introduce another TK-like faction in AoS. But if they are going to play with cross game ranges, they may as well use it as a way to do some fan service. Let's just hope they do it good from the lore standpoint.

    • @yehiahuzayyin7972
      @yehiahuzayyin7972 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @The Dark Phantom Settrus was later confirmed to be someone else (mostly because GW didn't want to bring him back like that) and even Mannfred commented that if Settra was really there, he'd be dead already. So there's still room for him to come back.

    I want to see Nefereta and Arkhan interact. They had a long-standing friendship/ romance together. Also, funny how we got mortarch for gouls, ghost, skeletons and vampires, but no zombies? Finally, where is Krell? He was a Mortach too. Is there any mention of him?

    • @lukebell7463

      If krell comes back , it would be great to see a return of the greatest human necromancer since nagash too heinrich kemmler , since he was opposed to becoming undead and a servant of nagash , if nagash brought him back it would be v interesting to see his perspective, plus his hatred for arkhan would be an interesting point to revisit , i could see the newly awakened lichemaster vying with arkhan for more status nd power within the death faction

    Regarding which Mortarch I'd want to see have more "screen time." I am split between Arkhan and Ushoran.
    Arkhan because he's my favorite character in general. I found him to be a fascinating character in the Old World, and though as you noted, we got glimpses of him going a little "rogue" from Nagash in Soul Wars by disobeying an order from his master, I feel GW tends to simplify his character to just being Nagash Jr which I find to be disappointing.
    In Undying King, Neferata makes a comment along the lines of how Arkhan is the most "human" of the Mortarchs and is the most attached to the everyday people in Shyish. You see this in other instances such as Arkhan had his Black Disciples who adored him, plus the new Nighthaunt, Pharus, from Soul Wars also stated that he found Arkhan to be downright pleasant company. IMO that's a very unique quality that runs counter to his description of being nothing more than Nagash's yes man. Because let's be honest, Nagash doesn't care about the people in his realm. They're all just tools for his eventual Necrotopia. I could go on and on as he's my favorite but I'll just leave it at I hope whenever Arkhan makes an appearance again in the books they continue to give him more nuance and explore what he's up to when he's not just doing what Nagash orders him to do.
    As for Ushoran, he was one of my other favorite characters from the Old World, and I'm desperately hoping for him to make an appearance as the true /visible/ figurehead for the Flesh-Eater Courts. I feel like GW has been dropping teases about him making a return for literal years, and I'm pleading he finally gets his time in the spotlight when FEC get their new battletome this year. I think the timing is there narratively as Nagash is still recovering from Teclis kicking his ass, Arkhan is MIA, Neferata and Mannfred are too busy fighting each other, and Lady O and Katakros are probably pursing their own agendas. Perfect opportunity for Ushoran to rally the FEC and make a true play in Shyish. He would make for a great rogue element to contrast Nagash's desire for a perfectly ordered society under his will. Though I'm also ok with Nagash making Ushoran a formal mortarch. If you can control Ushoran, you theoretically control all of FEC, and that would allow Nagash to get a handle on all of the living members of FEC that he's otherwise been unable to control.

    Manfred; "If you are of Nehekara, then why are you white?"
    Arkhan; "Oh my Nagash, Manfred! You can't just ask people why they're white."

    here is a question I've had for a while, now most of the gods of death like Morr have been absorbed by Nagash what has happened to some of the realms that they inhabited? the easy answer would be that they were consumed by Nagash as well, but since pocket realms of death exist on Shyish due to mortals believing in an after life like a realm for the followers of Gazul the Duardin god of the under earth and protector of the dead. now does a pocket realm of death need the deity to continue being, or does it just need followers to believe?

    Has it been explained why Nagash brought Mannfred back?... I know the real reason is because GW had a new model of him and did not want to toss the model away.... but lore wise... why did Nagash bring him back?

    20:06 wrong, it’s Katakros, in every way, his lore, his model, his faction, the man is pure AoS, he also has the largest codpiece in the game, it’s no contest, Katakros is the KataGOAT. Also you never called Ushoran by his actual title, the Mortarch of Madness, it’s a badass name and it needs to be said, also the fact that he was so mad that he created the grand delusion for all FEC is something to mention too.
