Yeah! Manchester should be a livelier thing altogether. This was a record store promotion gig, and Saul was still away, so a pretty chilled affair. Think they're ready to do battle in earnest.

I think Saul's off getting a bit of 'normal time' before the proper tour? Think that's what I read somewhere anyway...
Saul is basically out of town until the tour proper starts, these being record store promotion events with a stripped back cast. This is the first of those gigs with a full line-up minus Saul. Tour starts Wednesday, so Gigs from them should contain Saul. I think.

i am new to this lot. love their main songs. live they seem to be massively lacking of Saul is not there. Maybe that's the trick . Seee yall in london
Yeah! Saul is kind of integral. His presence just brings the right amount of gap-toothed brooding humour and brilliance to proceedings. Keeps the rest of the band edgy. He's onboard for the tour as long as he can sustain a carapace of humanity towards his fellows. Time will show. Eight years I've been following their progress. It was ever thus. The first time I ever spoke to Lias about how this was something special we were witnessing, he said oh we've split up already. I always likened FWF to a nucleus of a dangerously fissile material, volatile, short-lived and dangerous. They are no different now. The most reactive members need to be shielded from each other from time to time.
The only band that matters. Alright that might be a bit much but they are not far off it!
