Hi Johno I love your weekly briefing. Plus I’m due to get a new Jazzy Powerchair in a week to 2 weeks time. My current one also Jazzy & it’s been a great toy 🧸 top speed 4mph & if it’s held anyone up tough 💩. I hope this this makes you laugh & if you want to read it out next week & mention my MS. I would be more than happy Buddy. 👍
Just before Christmas I had a front axle driver side blowout at 38 ton doing 56mph on a wet M25.. It was nothing like the stories people tell. The worst thing about it was making delivery to London in the morning rush instead of 3am...
Back when I started driving trucks (1988). We used paper logs for everything. A week or two into my first job I ran out of hours called dispatch and he said "what do you mean you dont have a buck to buy another log book" So from then on I ran two or three logs made sure on fuel receipts weren't dated. It's hard to tun from Minneapolis mn to la ca and back in four days! I would still love to run like again than the nanny state mandating elogs. Have a safe week.
Hi John. Am I correct in thinking that the dash parking brake just operates on the unit and the trailer has a separate means of applying it's brakes ? It appears that North American trucks have two knobs on the dash, one for the truck and one for trailer.
Hi Johno, I like this diary idea. Point of pronunciation: Southwell, Notts is usually pronounced Suth'll: change the vowel and swallow the middle. I haven't thought deeply about this, but I suspect the same applies to a lot of places.
Nice weekly mate I have 3 questions for next week ones 1: If there was one thing you could change about lorry driving what would it be 2:What’s the best lorry you driven and what’s the worst lorry you driven 3:Bit of a unpopular opinion do you think scania is overrated despite Im a Volvo man reason I say this is because I remember watching one of your vids where you broke down and you had that rental scania so thought I asked keep it up as always bud
I really enjoyed yesterday weekly de brief John and have a great week out on the road 🛣️
Thanks
