Very interesting to see Ben & thank you for showing us around. Never been to Caliase but have been to Cherbourg in 1988 when I went on a school holiday to Brittany Northern France 🇫🇷. Apologies for 💩 spelling in parts Pal. 👍
Changed since I was a regular. Razor wire, different entrance. Got to be a free for all with immigrants on that front row. Great vids Ben. Keep em coming. Local yokel work for me now.. heart attack.
That whole area has changed a lot since I was there last (I stopped driving in 2010) I parked here the first week it opened, and managed to collect a whole load of passengers. I can only guess they saw what direction I had arrived from, to be able to work guess I was headed to the port. Credit to the people in charge of the truck stop, their security staff removed my unwanted passengers as soon as I told them I suspected they were in my vehicle. I was a bit annoyed though, as I only parked there because I thought it might be safer than parking in the Total the other side of the first roundabout, which would have been free. Still a lot better than anything the UK has to offer as far as driver facilities go. I would love to see a series of this style of video, especially if they featured the places I used to stop at, places like Macon, Roye, Castet's, The cabbage patch, Frechen (Koln) and Lokeren. I suspect few, if any are still used today.
HI Ben. I like your videos. I play the game Euro Truck Simulator2. Found a cool truck skin for the latest truck which got added last year of the Iveco S Way. Someone made the Broughton livery for it. There is already a trailer skin made for broughton of a download to use in game
Hi Ben. That's a good video. Most of the facilities are better than some campsites I've been in🤣. I must admit, the motorway services in this country could learn a thing or two. Can't remark on truckstops. I noticed the lorry next to you had disconnected the truck and parked it up against his back doors. I assume that they're to stop any illegals that may have got in the compound from getting in, or the driver finds its quieter than listening to the noise of the fridges. Also, the gates where you enter do open pretty quick, so it stops any illegals from running up and forcing open the rear doors. Just for clarification, and don't need to say, but what's the average price for parking up in these parking places?
Nice one for. change. Loved the detailed explanation of laundry........Thanks for posting.
Glad you liked it

No problem & thank you Ross.
This is what the U.K. needs, top class facilities for drivers, instead of the overpriced facilities offered now.👍
Absolutely mate.

Did there used to be a truck stop as you come off the motorway on the right hand side?
I’m not sure mate.

Hello mate, cheers for the video, your mate had a good idea with reviewing the truck stops. Were you in Ocado Purfleet this morning?

Both reasons for disconnecting are correct but also so he only takes up (& gets charged for) 1 parking space. Average is about £35-40 per night.
I've heard the lorry stops in the UK are naff, any truth to that? This French one looks pretty clean and modern.
European ones are much better unfortunately (or fortunately 😜).
Truckstop really 🤦♂️
Errmmm yes 🤷♂️
