Great job, you cover all my pet peeve topics that there is common misinformation about, and the list of your vids that I refer people to just continues to grow, keep it up! :)
I understand that it might be a disadvantage but it just looks good and is better for aim... for my friends, stretched res works fine, but when I do it its delayed for some reason (I have a mid tier pc and they have low end)
Idk there are a few games I’ve played stretched, that I could never probably play native again. I’m working on going back to native, because i personally feel like stretched makes life easier for hitting targets
thanks, because of this i will only use streched res in games with an fov slider, so currently warzone and apex. Fortnite and valorant will not be streched
You should do an updated video because I have heard "GPU scaling" is different to "Display scaling" with "CRU" (Custom Resolution Utility). Also, I can notice a difference in delay when I use Display scaling with CRU on 1720x1080 as soon as I switch to it, but I can also notice that my fps is -50 then what it is on native 1920x1080, it's like even with -50 fps the input delay is still lower and feels more responsive. Please do a latency benchmark, if possible. I have looked around for so long to find the right answer between the two and I know your videos are really informative so it would be good to know which is actually better.
Display scaling has lower delay u wont see it cause fortnite measures input delay but changing resolution changes delay of your monitor its quite a big difference unless u are running sub 60 fps I wouldnt even use gpu scaling
stretched resolution isnt about fps or fov for most people tho..... Its about stretching the image horizontally to make targets wider. if i played 90 fov in R6, and swapped from 1920x1080 to 1440x1080 im INCREASING the amount of pixels that represent my target from left to right, thus making the target LARGER
"Fundamentally, we seek to avoid potential settings which provide players with a significant gameplay advantage" So an FOV slider (which every game implements nowadays), is a no-no. But we are okay with every player needing to download keys2X or Wooting to stay competitive?
Can you make a video comparing it with Nvidia reflex low latency because i know that with that on it sends data to the gpu more than the CPU so wouldn't that mean even on high end builds you would get less delay?
I love 1680x1050 I hit way more shots and it's just more appealing the down fall is fov. Causing bad awareness. Will switching to the alternative resolution make everything back yo normal?? Not stretched at all?? If so I don't think I'd o ot because my aim will definitely be worse.
im on 1060 3gb and i5 11400f do u think lower res will help me? ps. not all people use streach fro the fps some just prefer seeing wider player models makes it easier to hit them even if its a placebo effect
I dont know, I tried streched, and the game looks laggy asf, like someone pouring sand into my eyes. With a 75hz monitor I had more then 150 fps, but still it felt much worse then native 1080p.
Hey man i have this bug when i put 1280x1080 or 1280x1024 its like normal res but i wanna use 1720 x 1080 and when i put the 1720 x1080 everything is so thin and like skinny so do u know how to get the normal res back?
Never use it ?? bro when I play on native resolution I get 10 fps in arena or pubs when i go in creative i get 30 when i got to strech arena and pubs 30-50 and creative 80-100
Hi man i need quick explantion : i'm using a gaming laptot (wich date of 2016 so it is quite old and bad with an i5 and gtx 950m) i looked and my cpu usage (80%) is bigger than my gpu one (20%) so can i use strech res or lower my res ? or do i need to play in 1920x1080 (which is my native res) ?
I have 1050 2gb, i5 8th gen and 8gb ram, what res should I use? I used to play native then 1680x1080 now I'm on 1440x1080. After watching this video I'm not sure what res to use
No dude, cpu bottleneck means the GPU is running at 90%. If the GPU is running at 99% it's fine Lower the resolution the more you get into cpu bottleneck They can't ban anything, the resolution is controlled by the GPU or monitor, it's like banning 21:9 or 32:9 resolution because it gives you a better FOV , complete rubbish

keep it up! your content is the best ❤️
Your videos quick and fast really like it and u keep it short 💪🏼
I find that any other resolution that isn't native resolution ends up feeling more responsive, even with such a small decrease in resolution.
on native I get 60-100 fps, on a streched rez like 1024x768 I get 160-200 fps
man ur content is so helpful
simple: use galaxy swapper to increase the fov and use streched for wider player models
How this channel only on 7k subs? I've watched all of your videos and they are all very high quality.
Been waitin for this one!
Most underrated channel of the fn community. Im watching all of your vids. Keep it up! U got a new sub
I was waiting for this video!!
Straight to the point, good job
I understand that it might be a disadvantage but it just looks good and is better for aim... for my friends, stretched res works fine, but when I do it its delayed for some reason (I have a mid tier pc and they have low end)
It's depends on your optimization
Stretch res are only good for low end pcs, if you have high or mid it will only bottneck your pc
Let’s go been waiting for this thx for uploading my guy
yea but do you know how hard it is to go back to 1920 after playing at 1440 for years?
fr
on god
make ur way up go to 1538 then 1720 then 1920
@@agentaadenbot bro this comment is like 3 years old LOL

Val doesn’t matter since it doesn’t actually change fov

can you send me a yt link with a tutorial for the way you fix the res, im not sure if i found the right one
th-cam.com/video/vhMZJlw2Upk/w-d-xo.html
so basicly if you have a better gpu than cpu use native and if you have a better cpu than gpu use a lower res
im still using streatched the wider characters make it feel better for me especially when building
Maintaining aspect ratio is definitely slept on for everything
Underrated bro.
Display scaling has lower delay u wont see it cause fortnite measures input delay but changing resolution changes delay of your monitor

Hello, as always awesome video, how did you do the benchmarks?
Thanks! I used MSI Afterburner and followed a youtube tutorial on how to do it

I switched to 1600x1080 like a year ago, and it’s so worth it cause ur aim gets so much better
change it to 1680x1080

epic games bro... epic games...
every one will have double movement
Tbh i used streached rezz for 3 years and swiched to native yesterday and i had lower delay and fps was better
I've been waiting for this video since he teased it last video
FINALLY IVE BEEN WAITING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
cpu bound unless you have nvidia reflex low latency on then you will see a increase in fps
to update what he said now a Ryzen 5 3600 is a low mid to low end cpu and the 3060 is arguably still a high end gpu but is closer to high mid
Can you make a video comparing it with Nvidia reflex low latency because i know that with that on it sends data to the gpu more than the CPU so wouldn't that mean even on high end builds you would get less delay?
2023 update: you can use stretched res because nvidia reflex boost unbounds cpu
bro called the rtx 3060 high end
This was 2 years ago
Finally with another banger
great video im back to native now :)
But there is other advantages ingame right? Like enemies appearing wider close to you so it is easier to hit shots
Don’t be an idiot do as told
I love 1680x1050 I hit way more shots and it's just more appealing the down fall is fov. Causing bad awareness. Will switching to the alternative resolution make everything back yo normal?? Not stretched at all?? If so I don't think I'd o ot because my aim will definitely be worse.
Great job😊
dumb question but this only applies to fornite right? Or does it also decrease fps in other games as well?
i use 1080x1080 with fov slider and realy good look
im on 1060 3gb and i5 11400f do u think lower res will help me? ps. not all people use streach fro the fps some just prefer seeing wider player models makes it easier to hit them even if its a placebo effect
it should help
bro i thought this guy would give tips

i have bad aim and i need to see things big bro
for me streach res is the only reason I can play a real match

good video thank you.
nice but do i use jerians display scaling vid or hes other vid and just make the res 1744 x 981 instead of 1750 x 1080?
best fn youtuber
What do u think about 1720 x 1080?
Many months ago I started using 1664x936 is this good? It feels pretty weird like smooth but not super repsonsive.
but if i dont want to play on 3440x1440 and play on 1656x1080? Is it bad if i play 1656x1080???
I play on intel i5 12400 with igpu uhd 730 should I use 1280x720 if so what 3d res with what capped fps (im on a 165 hz monitor with 4x2 gb of ram)
Hi. Do the latency stats work for you cause mine only shows 0? Could you have a fix? Jerian had the same issue I think
What shuld i change to i use 1440x1080 in pixels or whatever you said
what is the best Stretched resolution for Intel Core i3-7100 CPU 3.90GHz please say!
did u not watch the vid
can we get an updated version
What abt 1720x1080 is it any good ?
please how can i increase the gpu usage or dicrease input lag on image scaling
Why do so many pros use stretched res though?
what about resolutions for a mid end laptop
How do you stop it from being streched?
Soooo, streched resolutions are just bad in fortnite?
How did u do the fps benchmarks? Thanks
When new video?
native res gives less fps comapred to stretch res same with input delay etc
i wish this was about apex same subject
Can you go over what use effect for press does(ps5)
But when strc it lower the load on gpu lower input delay

Play stretched res to get better fos
Expect for the fact how sexy and crisp 1750x1080 looks
doesnt feel the same now
Ok but how can i add custom resolution ?
How do I change 900x768?

1720x1080
what res do u recommend for a 1050
1680x1050 is better than native bc its not very stretched
Martoz: Hold my beer 🍺
?
Bhe is god on stretched res@@fivecent1413
so use 1750 by 950?
Just a question. Doesn't Martoz use stretched in competitive and arena? or no?
Yea. He changes his resolution all the time, but usually he's stretched I think
how can i make my game gpu bound
when i switch to full screen on fortnite my monitor hz cap to 60 any fix?
go to nvidia panel and change your refrsh rate
My pc isn’t a low end pc tho so i don’t get it maybe it’s bc i have an i5 10gen idk but i got a 2080 Ti
it makes heads bigger thats why people use it
Can u help me with my pc i just got it
Idk I enjoy playing stretched and I hit more shots + I don't lose awareness
I would play with native if my fps was more than 50 30 while fighting I get 80 fps when fighting ingame with 1550x1080
Compare it to 1024x768 1280x720 see the difference
Yeah my cpu stays at like 50% and my gpu is at like 20-30% smh mannn i love stretch res tho
