Let's get this palette cleaned finally! A couple of disclaimers below. Rubbing alcohol is 70% isopropanol (the rest is water among other things). I ordered 99.9% isopropanol from the hardware store (I haven't seen 70% isopropanol sold here). It's more hazardous and smells worse than rubbing alcohol and the cleaning properties might be different. 2) If you decide to use mineral turpentine, read the safety instructions online. I didn't go through all of them in the video. Some that I failed to mention were that if you use any paper towel etc. for turpentine, put it in a closed trash can afterwards to make sure it doesn't catch fire from sunlight etc. Don't put the rags in regular trash. It has turpentine soaked in it and is hazardous waste. You can re-use it for turpentine later. I put the rag in a plastic bag and inside a box along with the turpentine jar and the other liquids and put them in my storage room that has an air exhaust vent. You can't wash off the turpentine from any fabric you used for handling it.
When I used to work on houses I was taught to put flammable rags in a bucket of water or let them dry up a bit in an open fireprooof area, then submerge in water bucket. They can actually spontaneously combust WITHOUT sun! Be careful with that stuff.
