This was an amazing musical moment and memory. Instant wave of goosebumps that you can hear sweep the crowd with the first few notes played. I cried thru almost the whole song that night and again just now while watching. Such an incredible performance that I will never forget.
I was there, front row (probably close to you judging by the camera angle), with my then partner by my side. He had no idea about Bon Iver music but didn't mind queuing 3 hours in advance. Now that we are no longer together, hearing this rendition again hurts even worse.
OMG!!!!!!! That music at the end. Brought this black hip-hop head to tears. I have always loved this song, especially the Bonnie/Bruce version. But the music at the end of this, just pure heaven. MANY THANKS for uploading this. Much, much appreciated.

I’ve heard cats screeching more musically than this trainwreck. Honestly I’m embarrassed for the incomparable Bruce Hornsby. I only watched this because someone commented under Brandi Carlile’s stunning cover that Bon Iver’s version was even better. I knew that couldn’t possibly be true, but I didn’t expect it to be bad either.
I wish hipsters who adore mediocre musicians would restrict their comments to videos like this one, rather than trying to evangelise under others 😂
