I started playing a month ago and day 1 I was super discouraged and I watched your year one video and it gave me the inspiration to keep going. Now I'm *almost* able to confidently sing and strum! So thank you! ❤️🌈
I thought it was so horrible how people in the comment section of the other progress video were all flexing like: "I started playing the ukulele like one hour ago and I know all the chords and I why does she only play 4 chords." Like please stop. Those people were so toxic.
In case you don't know yet, your sister just decided to cut half of her hair off 👀👀👀 You should totally go comfort her by playing something with your amazing skills 😮😮😮 Love ya queen ❤️❤️❤️👁️👄👁️
I just started playing the ukulele about 4 days ago. I've been diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease now for about 6 years and I wanted to learn a new skill that would help maintain my muscle coordination and strengthen those areas of the brain that are involved with learning to play an instrument. Your videos have been a source of encouragement. Thank you.
Its been great seeing how confident you have become, from complaining your fingies hurt to making fun skits is really inspiring. And since you asked, I'm loving the Uke skits always a good time. Stay safe stay awesome Triple E.
these are in fact the most inspiring progress videos, because I struggle so much with focus, memory, and executive function, and then perfectionism often intimidates me out of even trying, so I don't need someone telling me that if I just maintain maximum hyperfocus and practice five hours every day for two years I can be a master super professional competitive ukulele player for the gods, THAT'S NOT GONNA HAPPEN BRO, It's actually ok to just practice for half an hour a couple of times a week and have fun and be a contented amateur ukulele player for my own nerves
I'm on day 2!!!! I spent 10 years (off and on) hating the guitar, took a few year break and thought I'd try the uke and love it. Your "I have fat fingers" video from a few years back was always me on guitar ... thanks for the boost tor remind me that "fat fingers" are overcome-able. :)
Just discovered your channel out of the blue, love your content! Just started plaing the piano a few days ago after years of saxaphone. It's awesome to see progress with videos like this, no matter the skill level at the end. Majorly uplifting! Happy playing✌
I have been playing piano for 10 years and I haven’t gotten where I want to be. I’m glad I watched this video! This gave me the encouragement and motivation I needed to practice harder!
I just made a ukulele Instagram, and that was a huge step. It is a fingerstyle ukulele and I have been playing for around 7 months. I am pretty proud of where I am🤪 love your videos btw❤
CONGRATS ON PLAYING FOR TWO YEARS! I’m so proud of you, I remember when Elise had that video that was her teaching you how to play. You have come so far and your so talented. Happy two year anniversary of playing ukulele 🥳 ❤️
I saw an Elise Ecklund video by chance and I thought that learning how to play the ukelele would be fun so I started practicing the chords even that I didn´t have an ukelele and then I realised that I could practice it on my violin. After all I´m gonna get my own ukelele for this Christmas and I´m super excited!!! Sorry for my bad English, I´m from Spain hahaha
When it comes to progress you've come a long way from where you started which was barely being able to hold the strings but like you said everyone progresses at different rates and yes the amount of practice you put in does effect how well you play me but anyway great video stay beautiful and positive ok gtg have a great day everyone 😘
Awesome video! I mostly play the piano, but you've encouraged me to pick up the ukulele again! I only know 5 chords on the uke so far: C, G, Am, F, and Em. Thanks for being an inspiration! 😁
Hi Eden, They say 10.000 hrs of practice to master the skill you want to obtain, however, music is creative and you are always learning. It is also very important to have fun and enjoy your journey to mastery. Hope you are doing well, all the best.
ooooooh you've gotten so good! ima start playing ukulele soon and im excited >:3 good luck! (why did i say good luck that makes no sense at all but i don't feel like changing it)
AHHH!! I literally was thinking of this today!!! You have blessed me! Flight really needs to make a ukulele for you!! Edit: Thank you so much for liking!!!
Here's the best piece of advice for people dealing with people online: Don't feed the trolls, ignore them. We need more supportive and encouraging people, trolls can just be, they don't need to get our reactions.
IM EARLY AYYAYAYAY by the way you are getting great at the ukelele keep up the great work because we love it 😍BY THE WAY THANK YOU FOR REPLYING TO ME ON YOUR LAST VIDEO!
Honestly. I've been playing ukulele for about 5 years and I still dont really use that many chords. I mainly stick to the ones up near the top of the fretboard. I would recommend learning songs with more chords just to get use to them but it takes a while to get comfortable with a lot of them. Also. If you see someone playing a chord a different way than you, don't try and replicate them exactly. You can find your own way to play a chord. Some of our fingers aren't that long... and just a general tip for chords. If you cant play E. Try playing 4442 it's a lot easier for me. Cause I may or may not have really stubby fingers-
Even during quarantine, you know it’s a good day when both Ecklund sisters post in the same day.
Yesss

I started playing a month ago and day 1 I was super discouraged and I watched your year one video and it gave me the inspiration to keep going. Now I'm *almost* able to confidently sing and strum! So thank you! ❤️🌈

You sound so amazing! It’s awesome seeing how great you’ve become.

In case you don't know yet, your sister just decided to cut half of her hair off 👀👀👀
You should totally go comfort her by playing something with your amazing skills 😮😮😮
Love ya queen ❤️❤️❤️👁️👄👁️
Why comfort her? She cut her hair because she wanted to. Girls don’t have to have long hair.
I have been waiting for this video!! Would like to see you presenting all your ukuleles babies.

don't mind them Eden, all those people that say harsh and bad things are people who are hurt and have a lot of insecurity inside them.
i needed this to stay motivated with my guitar, i was really losing hope but now i’m motivated again. thank you!
I have been playing piano for 10 years and I haven’t gotten where I want to be. I’m glad I watched this video! This gave me the encouragement and motivation I needed to practice harder!

"We in here, talkin' 'bout practice."
But even Allen Iverson knows: there are no franchise players in ukulele. Everyone has to practice. 😎
IM EARLY AYYAYAYAY by the way you are getting great at the ukelele keep up the great work because we love it 😍BY THE WAY THANK YOU FOR REPLYING TO ME ON YOUR LAST VIDEO!
You should do a series on how you learned and basics.
