Your videos have saved me so much money over the last two months I’ve owned this truck. I play videos on your channel every night before bed on my TV and just keep learning more things. Thank you man
Those heater core connectors do get brittle and leak. Yes, need to resolve leaks. Not worth running hot. These are "million mile motors" if we take care of them. Great videos. Keep them coming.
2000 GMC Sierra 5.3 and it's been getting stuck at high RPMs in every gear sometimes causes the shifts to be really dragged out I really appreciate your videos you know what would cause this?
Mine doesnt leak but in the Texas summers (around 105-109) it starts to heat up at idle with the AC on granted i dont think i ever recalibrated my guage cluster after fixing the stepper motors but it sets at around 210 once the engine is fully warm then would go above that to around 215-220. i have a feeling the guage is off or else i would have started to smell coolant...anyways great video Matt!
I've heard the Deathcool can destroy gaskets. Switched over to Prestone Long Life AF2000 universal coolant (yellow) in my 2000 Sierra 6.0 on the advice of a mechanic.
I've been binge watching all of your videos! Incredible content applicable to my 2000 GMC Sierra 2500 6.0. Do you work on paying customers' vehicles or just as a hobby/for TH-cam? PM me if you do work for hire. I'd definitely use you.👍
Definitely check and see if you have an inline fuel filter, it will be located drivers side inner frame rail and replace it every 2 years along with transmission, tcase and diff fluids
@MattsShop glenns auto performance is out of Florida. He has some cool write ups on intake swaps, trans cooler, newer brake upgrades etc Love your videos and it is seriously the best for gmt800 stuff on TH-cam.

Matt I am very glad that you love vortex as much as I do
I am too!
Love your channel! Has helped me a ton. Dorman makes a metal upgrade for a lot of the plastic parts in the coolant system that leak

Appreciate it! Glad I could help. You're welcome!
They make metal upgraded heater hose connections to replace the crappy plastic ones. I highly recommend that.
Yeah, they work better. I remembered them after I fixed the connections LOL!
What are they called bro?
Thanks again Matt good class always.
You're welcome. Thanks for always watching!

I live in Tex. Mine started doing that. Changed the OG radiator and took care of it.

Idk man, I’m running the factory orange coolant with no issues at 320k
I don't see the repair video mentioned "up here" for the firewall plastic adapters?! Coming soon???

@ where are you located? How do I get set up for you to work on my 2000 GMC 6.0? Contact info/email?
Found my leak on the Y hose. Right at the plastic Y. My buddy had a leak and I told him to check the same hose. Guess what. Yep
YES!! Those plastic connections always leak!
I have replaced my Suburban fuel pump 3 times. What are your thoughts on the cause for repeated failures?
Did you replace the filter?
Get the GM genuine pump the aftermarket ones always fail!

That coolant tank looks very gnarly!👎
