This is the first time I've seen pictures of the pilots. ACI did a good job casting them for "High Rise Catastrophe" in 2017. BTW the actor who played FE Gedalya Sofer in that episode (Eric Fink) died last year.

The crew fought all the way to the end RIP and Salute to the EL AL Crew although there was one thing fishy about the death toll hearing disaster breakdown a lot of people said an estimated 240 were but the official toll was 43 but many are still missing to this day
they recently claimed that 47 people had died, there were a lot of undocumented people living in that block so its very likely that we will never know for sure how many people died.
There are some things that should be said for very little comment. 1. It is presumed that the number of victims may be higher, due to the fact that in part of the departments of Bjilmerrap, 90% of them without identification and of African descent, for which up to 200-240 were spoken (Being specific, Ghana and Nigeria). 2. The only person as a passenger was a woman named Anat Solomon, who was 23 years old and who was going to Tel Aviv to celebrate her marriage with someone else from the airline. (she was an El Al employee). 3. A few days after the fact, two bars of Depleted Uranium were found, which indicated that the plane had chemical material, which I affirmed in 1998, since chemical elements for military use were found.
Depleted Uranium was actually used in older 747's as some sort of ballast to keep the plane stable, for example investigators that investigated Korean air 8509 (also a cargo 747-200) had to scan the crash site to make sure the area wasnt contaminated with radio active particles.
the cvr was never found, some people speculate that secret service agents from Israel salvaged it but it is likely that the CVR was burned beyond recognition and was accidentally thrown away.
Apart from that minor hiccup the translation from Dutch to English really good. Perhaps when the ATC confirms the clearance to land would be more appropriate to translate that as: at least he got that. Really heartbreaking when the FO informs ATC they going down..
The plane was carrying uranium. The pilots were fully aware that they lost all control of the plane, yet instead of ditching in a farmfield or the sea, they choose to carry on with this impossible landing and MURDER hundreds of innocent lives. yet these pilots are labeled as heroes? its a sick world we live in.
They thought they had lost power on an engine, they never knew they had actually lost the engine. It was therefore in their view totally possible to come back to the airport.
@@TheRealNatNat yeah exactly. That’s also what can be derived from this recording. Lost control on their way back to EHAM. Decided to go 27 for their convenience, unfortunately the approach goes straight over the Bijlmer
@@TheRealNatNat Im sorry but have you read the actual report? Here are the reasons the crew decided to go back and do the landing : the possibility of having been hit by a missile causing a quickly deteriorating situation; the believe that they were experiencing one or two uncontrollable engine fires with the possibility that these fire(s) would burn into the wing.
English subtitles added, crew photos also added.
friend thank me because I was the one who found this photo last year and I am the admin of the Pilot Heaven page

Agreed! And the suspicion the aircraft was carrying hazardous material.
