Thank you for a wonderful review of my favorite knife too, I own the Chestnut bone Sod Buster Jr with the CV carbon steel blade. Beautiful working blade.
Couldn't afford a Case Sod buster so got an Imperial Sod buster pocket knife and it has kept a very good edge for three years as well as sees ALOT of use as a daily utility knife. If you can't afford the expensive Case prices the Imperial Sod buster is a very good Sod buster pocket knife for a reasonable price.
Great review on the Case Sod Buster Knife. My first Case Knife was a full-size Sod Buster. Today, I carry a Case Sod Buster Jr. with the black knife scales. The one I carry is a work knife, stainless steel with the farm plow etched on the blade. Best $23 bucks I’ve ever spent at the Ace Hardware Store. I real like the two Sod Busters you’ve been showing in your videos. That Pocket Worn Whiskey Bone and the Deer Stag that you have are beau looking knives. Looking forward to more from your channel soon. Stay warm! - Tennessee Smoky
My brother gave me a Case Sod buster JR (not the senior) years ago and I let my wife carry it until I could get her a pocket knife of her own, she forgot it was in her purse when she flew and TSA confiscated it and wouldn't let her mail it home (likely denied letting her mail it home cause they coveted a Case brand knife) . I carry an Imperial Sod buster knife now, full size, cause I couldn't afford a new Case, and the Imperial Sod buster holds an edge very well despite a lot of use over the last three years. The only real difference in the imperial Sod buster and Case Sod buster (besides price) is that the Case is smoother opening (less friction) but the Imperial Sod buster seems to stay sharper for longer periods of time after utility work.
The SS is soft. Doesn't hold an edge long if you really use it daily. Their carbon isn't much harder sadly. Better off with an Eye Brand which has a German hand made hammer forged high carbon steel blade.
@@bUtMyRiGhTs I usually prefer carbon steel blades but the local pawnshop where I pick mine up only has the 2018 models since they are not an authorized CASE XX dealer but they are all in stainless steel but they have quite a few of them and at $45 apiece they are a steal. They are NOS Knives.👍👏❤️🇺🇸
What a beautiful knife

You appreciate Case knives ! Most TH-cam Knife Nerds Bash Case picking Case Knives apart saying they are Junk not worth the money !
I have the yellow scales. Reminds me of John Waynes six shooter grips 🙂
I just bought one based on your reviews. How’s the Tru sharp sharpen back up compared to CS ?
The CS sharpens easer that the SS
