If you have been following SAVEAFOX, then you know we have been working towards expanding our rescue efforts by opening a South Location!
We can tell that many of you are very excited, just as we are, by the number of questions we are constantly fielding about it! We are absolutely working towards that goal. Our SaveAFox members have made several trips down to Florida to seek properties. In one of our previous attempts to locate a property, if you havent seen it yet, we created an entertaining video for you about the trip (visit our SaveAFox TH-cam page to enjoy)! Finding the as-close-to perfect and affordable location that includes the includes the necessary zoning codes that we need, has been difficult. As we are a non-profit, our budget is limited to the funds we raise, this makes it all the more important to be certain that the property we decide on is money well-spent!
We are going to be launching another fundraiser to help expedite securing a secondary location in the very near future. If anyone has ever purchased property, it's all about the budget, the more we have, the more we have the upper-hand when making an offer on the properties we like! So we
must continue to grow that budget as best we can. It is a challenge, especially as we will always at the same time be needing to raise funds to build and maintain current fox habitats. We, however, love the challenge and love the support you all give us each and every day! It will happen.

She has such tough skin to deal with this kind of situation/person, and putting aside her anger and being nice to the fur farm to save these foxes. I know I would just be so angry.

She's passionate and pragmatic at the same time. She probably gets far more done for the animals than those who just raid fur farms and vandalize them. I really admire her for that.
@@thecolorfox Agreed. This is basically like any lifestock farm. Sure, you breed animals to kill them later, but among those who farm, there are those who try to give their animals good lives, and those who simply don't care. While it is obviously preferred to give these animals places to run around with as opposed to tiny cages, at the very least this farmer cares about the lives of these little ones enough to give their lives some meaning. His sense of 'meaning' may not be compatible with that of many others who wish better animal wellbeing, but at the very least he didn't just take them out of the cages, bled them out or drowned them, and got rid of the drain on his finances. He called Save A Fox, and getting angry at his choice of profession is not going to save any future foxes. Never bite the hand that feeds you; that just shows shortsightedness.

If you watched the video, she only was able to take 2. the other 18 were left behind due to lack of space and funds

Fur is not only used in clothing but also in for example makeup brushes so always verify dat you buy synthetic brushes.

@Doofus Us Boys also wear makeup. It's called a beard. We use facial hair all the time to make our face looks skinnier or shapelier than it actually is. If you know how to have good facial hair, you'll look way better with it than without it, and many dudes take full advantage of it. Girls do the same thing, they just don't have it conveniently provided by nature.
@Doofus Us girls, especially young girls in their teenage, are extremely influenced by female influencers on social media, and always feel like they have to meet up with their high standards. You may think its weird, and that those girls should go and develope a personality of their own, but think of that like this: did you ever saw some muscles dude in some sport event, or even on social media, and thought "i wish i was more like him" or "i really should lose some weight". Same deal with girls, only that they will feel like it about anything, not just weight, and they are more likely to feel that way compered to boys because of males, and society in general (that is lead mostly by males if you notice), that have a very specific idea to how a woman should look, and those high standard cause such an insecurity issue for most girls to the point they feel insecure even about things they do have, like beauty or intelligence, they simply will never believe they are beautiful enough, smart enough, good enough- so they resort to whatever supermodels on Instagram and tiktok do in hope to be more like them, like putting makeup even so they have nothing wrong in their face that justify having to put makeup, and they better check no animals where harm form its production! So thats why girls are "weird" if you wondered

I'm both angry and sobbing at the same time. Such a cruel, greedy world and these poor creatures suffer and are murdered for it. Bless you for rescuing them 🙏. I wish there were millions more like you to rescue all the beautiful animals from the cruelties they suffer and to stop it from ever happening again. 💕

It's to stop lunatics from breaking in and trying to steal all the foxes, to "set them free" which would only cause all the foxes to suffer and die anyway, because they can't survive in the wild.

@Content Corrector Truth. Especially if you have certain illnesses, including diabetes. But yes. Quite the opposite of healthy when it comes to the brain health. Im from europe and I still fail to understand how the hell the western world got to where it is right now when it comes to treatment of animals we consume as food. What i like about her is that she is not angry! I like her demeanor. She is just trying to save the foxes. The owner of the farm is actually nice to let her pick foxes for free! I think it has to do with her attitude!
He lets her "pick foxes for free" because he will not do profit with them; as he says, those foxes are wounded, sick etc, and so they’re useless for him, they have no value so he just lets them die in those cages. She is just taking the foxes that are left for dead.

No-one likes seeing animals live in cages. But as someone else already said, the presenter is so mature and professional in this situation. She's focussing on rescuing 2 vixen babies. If she'd lost it or abused the owner do you think she would be leaving with those foxes? Or allowed to film there? Or ever be invited back? The fact is those farms exist and if they're not illegal she's not going to get them shut down by yelling at him. That just breaks the lines of communication and then there's no cooperation in the future. Good on her for being pragmatic, putting personal feelings aside for a moment and doing what she could, no matter how hard. So many people need to learn this lesson. Well done.

In the end, I know you want to stay calm and not show disrespect so can rescue as many as possible, but honestly, I'd lose it. I just have no patience for people like that, I've rescued too many dogs and cats from Mills and meat farms and each time it kills a little piece of me, as well as my patience level. If the are going to raise for fur, why can't they at least treat them humanely instead of tiny cages?At least these foxes will have a better life, I just wish she could have taken all of them.
steph So do I, I hope the Florida rescue location is a success and that fur farming becomes obsolete in the next few years. Trust me, fur farms and the very concept of unethical animal treatment gets me going just the same. I hope he at least uses more than just the fur.
Be careful what you project. How do you know he's heartless and callous? Some people are just confident speakers. He's being straight up and honest about the situation and not trying to defend himself or hide behind anything. It doesn't necessarily mean he's heartless or he likes what he does. It just means he speaks confidently. The whole situation isn't very nice but he allowed her to film, and gave these answers on camera so she can educate people that places like this still exist. Just see the number of comments on here from people who thought otherwise. He must realize it doesn't paint his industry in a particularly good light. We need to outlaw killing animals for their fur or skin and imprison those wearing it and all others involved in the killing and the processing of the pelts. Make them suffer for the suffering of the animals. If there wasnt a market for the pelts these brutal conditions wouldnt be forced on the animals by the people making money from their deaths. I cant stand seeing suffering and will do what i can to help. Hope the day comes in my lifetime when i can celebrate the closing of these types of farms

Fur is illegal in America now, why is this farm even open?
Fur has only been outlawed in California, and that ban doesn't take effect until 2023. It's still legal in the rest of the states.

They wouldn't be able to survive on their own out in the wild if they lived like that their whole life, that's the exact same as just killing them, it would almost be better to shoot them instead of dumping them out into the wilderness where they're sure to die, I have massive respect for Mikayla and what she's doing for these stunning creatures.
I hope we can donate enough to rescue all these foxes, to build the florida shelter and many more until all the farms are shut down. Im donating right now! If a disabled pensioner from Australia (me) can manage to donate whats stopping you?
You would just kill them all by "freeing them." Do you have the land and facilities to keep these foxes? Do you have the knowledge and ability to care for them? These foxes can't survive in the wild, so what are you going to do to "free them?"
@@Defx10 you can give them to an association that take care ans know foxes, that's what happens all the time, people free some of those lovely creature and give them to specialist that take care of them. Simple as that.
