This is one of the few times Ray stood up to either one of parents. Even when Debra didn't back him up, he held his ground for the safety of his kids. Go Ray!

The one thing Frank and Marie have in common is it is impossible to admit they were wrong.
They're from a time when you showed your elders nothing but respect. To their mind, they're senior citizens, so they should receive total and complete respect and submission from the world even if they commit murder.

@@anthonyvasquezactorThat is not true at all, yes they believe you should respect your elders and there is nothing wrong with that but everyone I know from that generation is very good at admitting when they are wrong, it's more people my age, in their twenties who think they know everything and won't.

She's like that a lot. She likes talking about them a lot but when they are in front of her, she puts Ray on the spot and acts like she didn't say anything

I hate the fact too how they captured family hypocrisy too it's disgusting and amazing how right it is. like Marie gives debra such a hard time all the time mostly because Marie didn't choose her and all in all that dont even matter too, she wants someone who will bend to her will. Debra really doesn't like ever really, Amy sorta does but not but then yeah. She hates Debra because Ray did choose her and just gives her a hard time out of spite really. Tho she still gets scared of frank when she shouldn't in a way he was and is on her side not Marie's also like I think that is why she doesn't like him because Frank likes her too. That one where she wants to cook for ray and Marie deliberately sabotages the recipe so the meatballs to come out bad so they keep asking her to cook and to show up Debra. She was also the only lady in the family that stuck that cooks too and since that's what she does best well she felt "threatened" which is bull because she wants to feel needed and in control too. Frank is just scary at times but like he will listen to her and agree with her, she gets scared too which I understand but she confronts him tho at times I think. I do think Deb knows to have Ray do it because well it's his family and they listen to him because he's the prodigy child or something lol.
That’s cause she’s a bully and can get away with yelling and abusing her husband but Frank actually pushes back on her atrocious attitude.

The best 0art of this episode is the end, even though Frank passes the test, he asks Ray to drive because he realises he can't really drive well anymore and doesn't want to risk the kids safety

One time when I was driving and this old lady in front of me was taking the same left turn as me at the traffic light where if you don’t turn fast enough you can get into an accident. She was crawling through slowly making it so I almost got into an accident with a vehicle coming the other way so I gave her the middle finger after that

Debra talks a big game when it comes to Frank and Marie but when she gets a chance to say something she chickens out or makes Ray say it
People always say how Debra’s a victim for being stuck with Ray and putting up with Marie and Frank. But the fact that she walks all over Ray and makes him fight her battles against his parents shows she truly is nothing but a bully; it’s easy to pick on Ray because he’s a wuss but she’s scared of her in-laws because she has no power over them.
Hands at 10 to 2. I was taught that decades ago, and now that is changed to quarter to 3 because 10 to 2 is dangerous with airbags I find it too difficult to break that old bad habit.. Quarter to 3 just feels wrong and my hands only feel right at 10 to 2.

Frank's car, with nothing behind the neck, I remember the cars in the 60's and beginning of 70's, my family didn't have a car, and I was very seldomly in a car,but when I was I was allways wondering about nothing to lean your head on, if you make a sudden stop, it allways looked so scary to me, even as a child! I wonder how many people broke their neck just because the lack of support for the neck..
